I am doing one now. Does the Sun refer to his birth father or adoptive father. I would say Birth. What do you think?

No, it represents the way he was raised and grows up. So the Sun and Moon represent the adopted mother and father.

I'd think that the Sun represents his biological father so it could mean that a child may have nSun in 12th H (absent) etc. Then I'd think that the condition of childhood, being raised by a stranger i.e. step-father will be shown by aspects and childhood house (4th) etc.

Thank you, A! He has a full 4th House and the Sun is there. I noticed that and thought about that. Saturn is in the 12th and that may represent the pain of adoption.
