Virgo are usely recognized as prone to anxiety... A bad aspected saturn and/or pluto can lead to irrational fear, anxiety disorder and paranoia... Saturn in twelfth... (fear of losing control) Chiron depending on the house can also create some anxiety on the area it revolves around (I have it in the sixth and in virgo and I am on a watchful guard on myself because I tend to fall into period of heavy fright of weight gain(and then I won't eat more than 500 cal/day to make sure I'm not gaining weight etc...) and any sickness) I think bad aspect from moon to mercury (distorted thinking), saturn (overall and sometimes even irrational fear) and/or uranus (emotional distress (uranus "speds" things up, essentially the nervous system, if it badly aspects your moon it can create distressing situation or way of thinking/feeling) As I read somewhere, anxiety, panic attacks and the likes are usually caused by obsessive thinking (what would happen if... what if... etc) that goes in a never ending and toxic circle that builds up until it explodes... Anxiety are very heavily related to your emotional state. When one feels distressed, or depressed, it is very easy to fall in a malign circle of anxious thoughts, hence why I think that the Moon play a strong role in anxiety problems. IP: Logged |

I have Virgo ascendant (at 29 Degrees). My Mercury is bang on my 11th house cusp-and is centre of a T-square also involving Pluto and Lilith. My anxiety really kicked into gear a couple of years back, not long after Pluto started making exact opositions to my Sun-and with Uranus/Pluto at work, the 2 were often both in aspect at the same time. I also had my first Saturn return in 2014, along with Neptune going back and fourth between my 5th and 6th houses (making an inconjunct with Mercury in the process). In terms of progressions, my Moon was in my 5th house-you could say that's meant to be a good thing-and should have by itself lightened the load, especially when you consider that I have Jupiter in my 5th Natally. During the moon's stay in the 5th though, it made a square to Pluto, followed by an op to Mercury, a square to my Nodal axis just after the Jupiter conjunction, a further square to Saturn-and it finally squared Venus earlier on this year. It's also interesting to note that at the end of 2013 I had prog Sun and Prog Moon exactly opposed to each other. My anxiety was actually at it's worse during my final Pluto op Sun transit-it hasn't gone completely since then, but it's nothing like it was. Pluto will be opposing my Mars in the next year or so though (and Mars is the apex of a yod in my chart), though it'll be trining my NN at the same time. As for my Prog moon in the 6th house, it'll be making mainly harmonious aspects with the exception of a square to Uranus. ------------------ The world is just, a great big onion... And hate & fear are the spices that make it fly. IP: Logged |

Well, I just gave you some basic info. Where's your Gemini and Mercury? What other planets besides the Moon is in Aquarius, etc? I looked a little more and found that "bad" aspects from Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, Chiron, or Uranus to Gemini, Virgo, and Mercury placements can indicate anxiety too. Your Mercury squaring your Moon could possibly signify anxiety, especially since your Moon is in Aquarius. IP: Logged |

I'm no expert at medical astrology and it really doesn't go into specifics like what a Jupiter in Aries means, or something like that. That being said, what's below is just my thoughts: Gemini is in its home so anxiety by sign and anxiety by house may be operating here. Its ruler is in the 2nd house so your anxiety may stem from your finances, material possessions, and/or values. Mercury in Taurus signifies a stable, sometimes stubborn mind. This could possibly mean that you dwell on things which can cause ruminative thinking. This placement can also show a preoccupation with security, especially of the material and financial types so anxiety can rise from a sense of insecurity. Mercury is also facing "bad" aspects. These aspects may give rise to problems with speech and writing which may cause apprehension around these subjects. They (these aspects) can also indicate you wasting energy and times, and combined with Taurus sometimes making a person a slow thinker, a person may feel like they're always behind, or whatever, which can distress. Mercury is making a "bad" aspect to another nervous planet: Uranus. My Mercury r squares Uranus and I've always seen "restless mind" splattered on posts about this aspect and other "negative" aspects. You may not have a sense of inner peace because your mind is always running 24/7. Mercury squaring the Moon can indicate moodiness, restlessness, conflicting thoughts, and the tendency to be high-strung. Saturn and Capricorn, from what I've seen, always say depression. And from what I know of psychology, anxiety is usually coupled with depression and vice versa. Mercury inconjunct Saturn could mean just that: anxiety and depression. Saturn itself tends to show fear and uncertainty. These are just my thoughts. I could be dead wrong but that's up for you to decide. IP: Logged |

Doing some research as I have felt this incredible increasing anxiety over the last week which is now at boiling point.I naturally experience anxiety, as I'm uranian and have pluto squaring my mercury 1 degree but it's usually fairly manageable now that I'm a bit older. Today it's just been unbearable, constantly clenching my teeth/jaw and it just aches over the past couple of days, I can't control it. I looked up my current transits and Pluto is squaring my natal moon exact today. Transiting uranus is squaring sun and mercury. The obsessive thoughts will not subside. Can't wait for this to end. I am seriously unable to function! I'm starting to feel quite depressed and incapacitated. Oh and transiting mercury is squaring pluto 1 degree too. MAKE IT STOPPPPPP..... IP: Logged |

without delving too much into itVirgo anything. Also look at what aspects placement Chiron has, the true ruler of virgo according to some. I have virgo rising. When I have anxiety, especially at night I can't sleep and also my stomach gets very very upset. Saturn aspects to the moon especially. Melancholia is always there with that aspect, it can turn to depression under the right circumstaces. Chiron aspects to venus or moon. Can someone feel like they are unloveable and ugly, can turn to depression in some cases. There is lots of nuances of course to medical astrology- IP: Logged |

For me, this was/is the case. Sun/Merc/Mars Virgo 9th house. I also have Aries moon which I think causes me a lot of nervous energy. I have suffered from crippling anxiety at certain times in my life. I think literally for no reason other than because I overthink everything and was living in constant fear of the "next" panic attack (which mine were very severe & traumatic). It's a sh!tty way to live and can be a difficult pattern to break.

Hard Neptune, Mercury aspects, especially with Saturn; Hard Moon or Saturn aspects with Asc, especially if involving the mutable signs Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius, Gemini, or Cancer. ------------------ "Drift like a cloud and flow like water, seeing that all life is a magnificent illusion, a playing of energy, and there is absolutely nothing fundamentally to be afraid of." -- Alan Watts Soul Stars Astrology by The Declinations Guy Expert Rectification IP: Logged | |
