Get an ephemeris. Look up the position of the transiting planet. Let's say ephemeris shows Jupiter is at 10 degrees Leo. In your natal chart, do you have anything at 10 degrees of scorpio, Aquarius or Taurus? Scorpio and Taurus are square Leo because they form 90 degree angles. saggitarius, Aries are trine, as they form 120 degree angles. Aquarius is opposite and forms a 180 Degree angles. And no you don't need a ruler. Just memorize the aspects by looking at a astro chart. Checkout this good short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgjBgMlvIcA IP: Logged |

Or save yourself the trouble by using the Planetary Aspects and Transits software, which produces both tables showing all PERSONAL planetary aspects for a given date (e.g., today) and charts showing the same thing graphically. If you wish to see the same thing from a heliocentric perspective then go here.

Seems you don't need quotes at all.Or save yourself the trouble by using the Planetary Aspects and Transits software, which produces both tables showing all PERSONAL planetary aspects for a given date (e.g., today) and charts showing the same thing graphically. If you wish to see the same thing from a heliocentric perspective then go here.
