I may be cherry picking because there are A LOT of DJ's out there but these are the ones that have become most well-know and played on the radio.

So what's Capricorn's deal with EDM? Is this just a coincidence?

Honestly, I think it may have a LITTLE bit to do with the constellation of Lyra.. Very musical star constellation.. Now.. To explain as to how that would transfer to EDM? Maybe because Lyra functions on a VERY wide spectrum when it comes to musical frequency. With EDM, you are able to make sounds and beats that are not as easy to make with instruments.. Also making it easier to hit certain frequencies and certain sounds that are not as easy to create 'naturally'

I know that may sound a bit far fetched.. But.. It may have a tiny bit to deal with it. I'm not really sure where those dates put their Suns..

This makes me interested about some of the EDM artists I listen to. Ima see if any of them are Capricorns..

Of course, you have to take into account that being a Capricorn Sun, there isn't a bad chance they have at least one planet in Aquarius. (Mercury being a considerable possibility..)

To me though.. Lyra is really the constellation capable of putting spirit into music. Personally, I think Electronic music actually has a special way of doing this.

Of course, when I think of Lyra though, I usually think of string instruments.. Especially the Harp.. And the classical string instruments.. (Violin, Cello, Bass, Viola..) and, maybe even the Erhu..

Looks like Deadmau5 could have his sun conjunct Vega.. And his Mercury conjunct Sulaphat

Looks like Bangalter could have Mercury conjunct Sheliak..

Capricorns are more inclined towards using the faculties of the left brain. So I'm listening to deadmau5 since his birthday is the day before mine...

K, so:

Hard, driving beats that hammer away starkly for a long time before softening up a bit (@ 4:00) and then resuming the hard beats...that just sounds like Capricorn.

Here's another example.

I'd have to say it's all about the sound, as an expression of how we really feel. Perseverence, toughness, repetition/obsessiveness, almost like this is a war dance (thinking of Native Americans drumming all night before attacking a village)...with some random expressions of sensitivity, melody, emotion. Surprisingly varied emotions behind the "mask" of non-stop repetitive rhythm.

I have a Virgo Moon and Gemini Mercury, but Uranus in Aqua in 3rd, and Moon opposite Saturn!

Oh yeah, Saturn is in my 5th house, so it backs up your theory about Capricorns

deadmau5 in particular must have some big Uranian or Neptune influence, if you follow the stuff he does besides music. Guy is all about internet and video game culture (probably why I like him so much, ha!)
