Does anyone feel like they connect with the greek mythological creature of their sign.

If you're an Aries do you connect with Ares?
If you're a Scorpio do you connect with Hades?
If you're a Leo do you connect with Apollo?

I read some articles on Astrodienst and it caught my attention. You guys should check it out too if you haven't (I'm sure you have though)

Wow, that might be a better description for aqua than what exists. Rebellion against the older generation with the aim to make the world better for the new one so we can all be better as a whole. Still I cant relate because I'm actually very traditional But for some reason, the role of prometheus as creator doesnt seem like it would be an aquarius thing, maybe a pisces or aries thing.

Prometheus is actually an Aquarius symbol. And your probably the Saturnian version of an Aquarius..

You should also look up Ouranos or Kronos. Saturn is the Son of Uranus

I have a Leo Sun and a stellium of Leo, and I connect to Apollo.

Apollo= God of the Sun and light, archery, healing and the plague, truth and prophecy, music and poetry.

I've always loved archery and used to practice, and collect numerous sun items (bracelet, necklaces, pendants, clothing with the sun on it, etc). I was into the healing profession (studied psychology to be a counselor). I love music and used to sing in a choir. I've written poetry as a teenager (all awful though lol). I can sometimes predict the future, but I feel like it's more based on me analyzing the situation.

I think what's really interesting is that I have a younger brother who is a Cancer Sun and he connects to Artemis. I've read in mythology that Artemis was born before Apollo to help with childbirth. If we were born the same year, he would only be 11 days older than me (both born in July). If we were born the same day, he would only be 13 minutes older than me (He was born 1:17 PM and I was born 1:30 PM).

I hate mythology but I'm vain, so I had to look this up, to see if I could find anything with which to flatter myself.

Found it!

quote:
The constellation of the greek zodiac by the name of Capricorn, is as strange as that of Sagittarius. It is a sea god, with the head and half the body of a goat, and the tail of a fish.

The story of Capricorn is associated with the birth of Zeus, the father of all gods.

As the story goes, when Rhea gave birth to baby Zeus, she feared that her cruel husband Cronus would devour her child, just as he did with the previous ones that she gave birth to.

So, she secretly took her child to Crete, where he was safely kept in a cave on Mount Dicte. There, he was nursed and cared for by Amaltheia, whose name means "tender". She was a goat nymph, and she looked after baby Zeus with the greatest love and devotion, feeding him on her own rich milk and sweet lavender-scented honey.

Zeus's golden cradle was hung high upon a tree so that Cronus would never find him in Heaven or Earth, or even in the ocean.

When Zeus later became the lord of the universe, he did not forget his goat-mother, Amaltheia, who had nursed him so lovingly. He took one of her horns and turned it into the horn of plenty, which is always filled with whatever delicious food or drink its owner may wish for, and is never empty.

Finally, in recognition of all she had done for him, she set her image among the rest of stars on the greek zodiac, as the constellation of Capricorn.

My Zeus is exactly trine my sun.

Yes I relate to that part in bold...when I become master of the universe I won't forget my goat-mother either.

Sorry to be crazy but mythology is crazier.

I need to hype this!
http://www.goddess-power.com/

The webdesign is an eyesore but the information is amazing. It's a psychological analysis of the Greek goddesses and how their archetypes relate to women now. There is a questionnaire that evaluates what your archetype is - you'll have to do it by hand which is annoying but I think it's worth it.

Although technically only Venus and the Moon are female goddesses you can match the symbolism of the other goddesses to you sign/energy.

My dominant archetype is Persephone - the maiden that was abducted by Hades and went on to become the queen of the underworld. Her archetype is a someone attuned to the hidden and the subconscious with powerful psychological abilities but also clings to the light. Her goal is to acknowledge and own her dark side (Hades) and not let it victimize her from the outside.

Scorpio stellium - I feel like the Persephone archetype relates to Scorpio's goal to let go, transform and transcend. She is also the wife of Hades after all.

Great thread, NYC!

I find that people have asteroid themes in their charts and they very much relate to them. One girl LOVED cats. She had the asteroid Ubasti conj her ASC. This is the goddess of cats, I think. At any rate, it was an asteroid that was very much cat oriented lol

Another client has this conjunct her MC and she rescues feral cats.

These asteroid life themes go on and on.

I have Aseceupulus( sp) conj my Mercury and I am super, super into (obsessed with) natural health.
