It seems like most of my friendships/relationships are with fixed signs. They are the epitome of being fixed or married to a goal. Eventually, that fixed path turns into a trap for them, but they keep trucking on till a crisis hits and they change paths, then another rut goes deep from wear and tear.

My Leo ex is mentally blocked. He can't see the world beyond his nose. He wants to come across as an expert about every single thing on this planet, but behind it lies deep ignorance until something jolts him to seeing things differently.

My Aquarian ex, with Libra rising gets stuck into the Libra people pleasing rut and he starts to really neglect himself and what he must do to care of himself. I think there are some codependency issues. He remind me of Eddie Murphy's 'arranged marriage' bride off of Coming to America. Drove me nuts! But with Venus Rxing right now, I broke his heart and left him. Here I sit in a women's emergency shelter. Now he must take care of himself.

Another fixed sun friend did a certain kind if job for a long time and got sick of it. He left his job, but dismisses transferable skills to find work in another field.

And here I am, an Aries with a cardinal t square. If I need a change, bring it on. Though my Sun is in the 11th and Uranus is in the 5th.....Mars is in the 8th......maybe I just attract them!

I laughed out loud when I saw the thread title.

And yes I relate to your experiences. My husband is a Leo.

On the positive side, they can also be the most stable and trustworthy people around...gotta take the good with the bad.

(But I do sympathize with you )

I don'tm ind having fixed signs as friends, but I'm not so sure about being in a romantic relationship with them.
My father is an Aquarius and he is so set in his ways it's impossible to change them. You can show him evidence, try to reason with him, but he just won't budge.
My Leo BFF had been stuck in a dead-end job for years, she just couldn't quit, even though her employee treated her terribly and even stopped paying her for her work.
Still, I've got a really good Taurus friend who will try different things and who actually welcomes change.

I had a really nice Taurus friend. We just lost contact out of life's circumstances.
She was stubborn, that was her only issue. Yeah, sometimes fixed sign people won't adapt their course of action fast enough and end up hurt or with problems...

I know a Scorpio and lawd can he be stuck on his opinions and think he's always right. I avoid him like the plague.. He always wants to center of attention. However, he's in his 30s and haven't grasped that a conversation is not an augurement or always being right..I feel like he's undercover insecure though.. Its annoying.. Scoprios have this god like complex that needs to be brought back to earth..

I've met quite a few leos and their usually quiet, but lawd watch out leo mercury..Now that's a stubborn placement and proud..

If a chart has Leo(Cancer/Leo stellium), Aqua, Scorpio and Taurus occupied quite heavily I would say, with the small detail of a stellium in Cappy, is the chart leaning towards fixity?
