Oh man! I had to respond to this! Years ago someone I know was getting rid of stuff - I acquired their unneeded music. In that collection I got the Alice in Chains box set ( never heard of them before ), and wow, this song just literally blew me away... blasting for about a week straight. I didn't know that he had passed at the time or anything.
