Did it have any affect on you?I've lived in other places besides by birth place and to be honest I didn't feel much of a difference, even if all my 3 planets in the 12th moved to the 1st house. IP: Logged |

You need to live in one place at once for 7 years in order for the Relocation chart to take effect.IP: Logged |

This was so fascinating that yesterday I went to bed at 2 a.m. because I wanted to research it. I must apologize because I'm in the middle of a major work project and I don't have much time to elaborate. To answer your question, YES, it affects you! But Rosalind is right too--in my case the change happened after almost 10 years of living in the "new" place. 15 years ago I moved across 7 time-lines (a 7-hour difference). This rotated my chart about 3 houses. Interestingly enough, my n-MC has become my r-ASC exactly (within less than a quarter of degree), so it seems like my relocation here was fated. I didn't change who I am inside or my system of values. However this place has changed my way of approaching the problems and the areas of my life to which I devote my energy--my external interaction with the world so to speak. At an external level, I identify a lot with my relocated chart. Still, it's almost as if my current chart is a combination of the two charts, with my birth chart representing my inner life and the foundation of everything I am, while the relocation chart represents my external life and the way other people perceive me. The transits and progressions (both regular progressions and tertiary progressions) work on the original chart though! Also I played around with with function: it seems that if I moved to the West Coast (3 more hours towards west), 5 of my planets would be aligned to each of my angles (conjunct within 1-4 degrees in all cases). It almost appears that I should move there in order for my career and personal life to reach their full potential. I hope this answers your question. Thank you for the very interesting topic! Cheers! I never really thought about that! I will just go and check it out! Like you just put the other city you lived in as your birthcity and look at the chart?Because I was born in one, but moved when I was 6, and was raised at the other one, across the Atlantic! IP: Logged |

Interesting guys and really seven years? Well I moved to a place where it moved all of my 12th house planets to the 1st house, then about 3 years ago moved back to my birth place and its been HELL D: 12th house planet suck! if anything I think it effects immediately at least for me I am so ready to go back, moving back by December so if its 7-10 years that means my old place of residence chart is still in effect. Really? how so, is there a way I can pin point that on my natal chart, like what transits to watch out for. IP: Logged |
