I was wondering, to all of you out there who experienced it, what changed and how it influenced you.
And does me being a Pisces rising in my birth chart change anything compared to a natal Aries going into Taurus
It is very doubtful you will have anything happen or feel anything that can be truly attributed to such a change by progression during that time frame of autumn 2017. Most people's birth charts are just not accurate enough on the Asc to time such changes so precisely. Many of them do not even have the correct sign on the Asc, much less the correct degree.
The Asc is an esoteric point that often cannot be pinpointed precisely without skilled rectification and validation.
The progression of the Asc is very subjective indeed, since the common method in secondary day-for-a-year progressions does not move the Asc according to its original daily motion -- which would have our Asc progressing through all signs of the zodiac each year -- but instead advances it using a daily net gain converted to annual gain. That means that at the end of day 1 of your life, the Asc has moved about 1 degree past where it was exactly 24 hours previously. So what modern progression methods do is just advance it slowly over the course of the year to cover that 1 degree average gain. This has been done by astrologers and programmers for convenience, not accuracy. There is precision of calculation, and then there is actual accuracy. Two different things.
Let me illustrate clearly:
My birth Asc 17VIR14 (4:14 PM on 26 April 1970) was at 18VIR00 the next day at exactly the same time. But during that first 24-hour interval it moved all the way around the sky, because the Asc is a function of earth rotation against the ecliptic. Common practice is to just pretend the Asc progressed only that bit from 17VIR14 to 18VIR00: 0*46' arc. If the sky did that we'd have far bigger questions than ones about our astrology. The earth would effectively have stood still.
This may seem like a lot of academic or technical stuff to say, "Its not a thing" because 'the thing' isn't even defined properly or consistently.
It would be very easy to mis-attribute certain experiences or subjective feelings to a change of sign by progression.
