Hi! Ever since I was young, I loved to express myself through writing. My love for writing has grown but there's something stopping me: laziness and determination. I am obsessed for impressing people and making my story perfect that I don't really do anything in the end. I'll think about it a lot but not act on it. I was wondering if there anything in my chart that could be affecting me. Another question I have if you look at my chart: what genre of stories should I focus on? Non fiction, fiction, etc . Thank you! If you have a lot more details on how I write, please tell me. Chart: ------------------ Scorpio Sun Capricorn Moon Cancer Rising IP: Logged |

Its not always astrological. Almost every writer goes through it. Th best writers go through it.Just let go of your fears, understand where your inspiration is coming (truthfully) from and release your work. Setup a schedule and follow it at a time you know is best for you. In one month I have written, edited, and designed an entire book. IP: Logged |

I would say fiction and focus on relationships...love, passion and potentially some family to. I say this because your 5th, 7th and 11th houses are very active in your chart so your energy naturally directed in these areas. You could get into some kinky stuff with aqua Uranus in 8th...but the fact that 1st house ruler is in 7th ppl naturally will see you as a relationship person, with an understanding of the emotions involved in that. With your moon being cap they will look to you for guidance in these areas. Your gemini Jupiter in 11th reinforces this.Your 3rd house rules writing, yours is in virgo so it's ruled by mercury...your Merc is in 4th/cusp of 5th, your again merging the family/children/love with your writing through those houses being connected to your 3rd house. My very first immediate impression is that maybe your Scorpio mercury square Aqua Neptune is creating conflict. Aqua Neptune doesn't sweat the details and the emotions while Scorpio mercury does and those two would be at odds between what you imagine and yet how you try to tell it. Squares can be worked through, however. They're a challenge but those who work through it become stronger for it. And Scorpio can be especially good at working through challenges (though also handling it badly when they don't). Scorpio mercury makes me think you'd do well in mysteries but even as fiction that requires a lot of details and personal motivation that Aqua Neptune wouldn't get behind. Hmm, maybe something paranormal...like say something that explores the topic to start with and then hopefully get inspired to write some fiction about. But really, you should know what you want, especially between fiction and nonfiction. (But if you want to impress it's much easier to do so with fiction unless you have a deep understanding of something and the ability to render it into ordinary language. Though a tip from an editor of academic journals I used to know: obfuscate with language and even if it's little more than gobbledygook many will pretend to understand what you're saying because they don't want to appear dumb! ) Oh, and if you want to impress...you'll need beta readers who are HONEST rather than telling you what you want to hear. And you'll have to be able to listen to them and realize they're doing you a huge favor. If you can't do that then you should probably find something else to do. IP: Logged |

It's funny you mention that... I always have a problem with details, but I notice them, BUT feel too lazy to enforce it. I'm just trying to branch out into different genres and see which ones I like. Is there anything in my chart that gives me my love for writing?

This. Literally every writer goes through this, including myself. You just have to learn to let go, and that it will never be 100% perfect. When I get too hung up on details, I remind myself there are many more stories I need to tell before I die and that spending too much time on one isn't fair to the others or to my being. Tell a good story. Feel the emotions when you write. (I do believe this is somehow transferred to readers) Hopefully that helps IP: Logged |

Again showing energy directed at family/childhood...this is your core self. Potentially the reason your drawn to writing is this virgo Mars in 3rd and on cusp of 4th/IC. IP: Logged |

I'm sure that you could excel at any writing field that you'd like! I think you have a real talent for imagination, however, with all those Neptune aspects (Mars trine Neptune, Moon conjunct Neptune, Mercury square Neptune). Many famous writers have prominent Mercury/Neptune aspects, like J.K. Rowling and Hemingway. Grand earth trine with Saturn, Moon, and Mars indicates a lot of pragmatism and discipline. Mars at at 29 degrees, however, the anaretic . Any planet at 29 degrees feels 'stuck' in its energy. It is hard to initiate because the individual cannot decide what kind of action to take. I'm a writer myself, and I say just schedule some time for yourself and start. I'm sure you will be able to write something you'll be proud of. IP: Logged | |
