How does Jupiter affect those with Virgo ASC this year--and how will it be different from those that are Virgos?IP: Logged |

Jupiter transits are helpful for any Asc and any sign. Some Virgo risers will find work-related opportunities open up or accelerate more easily. Others may feel fed up with work and find it a great time for vacation. Some will find it offers them intellectual acceleration/opportunities for things like writing or communicating. It can also be a time of expanding relationships in which others seem to come to you, less effort expended on your part. When Jupiter crosses your Asc it begins a new 12-year chapter of your overall story of growth. Some who are undergoing serious limitations or challenges may find they don't feel the Jupiter transit so much. (Many don't have charts accurate enough to time this transit). At minimum it can give some relief during stressful times to renew your optimism and get a better perspective on things. The difference is mainly that with Jupiter making conjunction to Sun tends to be more invigorating of the vitality and overall confidence, sometimes extending to egotism. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Complete Rising Sign Descriptions IP: Logged |

Just be careful about gaining weight if this is something you don't want because Jupiter tends to expand everything it touches. IP: Logged |

Sucks. You shouldn't feel it until it actually touches your ascendant within a 0 to 5 degree orb. Is your ascendant in the early degrees of Virgo? IP: Logged |

When renewed, vigorous energies are involved in expanding our social lives, our outdoors activities or exercise, Jupiter transits don't have to involve gaining weight. The weight won't just magically appear as if Jupiter's stork dropped it down your esophagus. This is electional astrology put to use -- determine beforehand your intentions for using the transit and put it to positive use. Not a time for sitting and indulging. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Complete Rising Sign Descriptions IP: Logged |

Of course Jupiter transits to ascendants don't have to involve gaining weight. However anytime Jupiter transit aspects the ascendant, the possibility is there. That is why I appreciate astrologers who will also tell me what I need to avoid and pay attention to, instead of just telling me everything rosy and peachy that can happen during a Jupiter or any transit for that matter.

Hi Belage--good to know. My ASC is actually in Leo at 29 degrees--so I look at Virgo for my transits since it is so late in In Leo. Right now Jupiter is 5 degrees away from my ASC...I feel like the weight has been creeping up. And the indulgences! Two days ago I ate a whole pint of ice cream--which I don't ever remember doing! Crazy! IP: Logged |

Well, with ascendant at 29 degrees Leo, Jupiter has already past transiting over your ascendant and you shouldn't be gaining more weight. In fact, Transiting Saturn is currently squaring your ascendant, you are supposed to have an easier time shedding any excess weight you might have gained. Keep in mind that this is all speculation. There may be natal aspects to your ascendant in your chart that might influence how your appearance is affected by Jupiter or Saturn. Still, Saturn alwalys implies work, so it's a good time for you to WORK on losing weight if this is something you want. Saturn squaring ascendant tend to make one feel insecure about one's appearance, so use that insecurity to work on achieving an appearance that you can be happier about. IP: Logged |
