Kevin Richardson is a south african zoologist who created a sanctuary for lions and hyena (also have 2 black leopard). However if his story stopped at that, I wouldn't bother making a post about him today. What fascinates me the most is his relationships with those animals.
He raised them himself since birth, or at least since they were less than a year old, bonded with them and continue to maintain this relationship daily, two of them being with him for more than 12 years.
He doesn't simply have a friendly relationship with them, which would be incredible on its own. No, he's literally a brother, a member of their pride. He can hug them, sleep with them and even play with them and remain relatively unharmed (he's been hurt a couple of times, but it's part of the risks and nothing that he needed to be hospitalized for). One of the lioness even offered him his cubs.
Anyway, the man, for me, is a real hero. He remains vigilant and conscious that these are predators and highly observant of their moods and personality.
I got curious about his birth chart, naturally. Such a fascinating man that is completely in love with a very unusual job.
I sadly couldn't find the hour of birth, but the chart is a very impressive one nonetheless.
 A libra stellium in a t-square with Chiron at the opposite of the stellium and Saturn at the apex of the pattern, coupled with a jupiter, mercury and moon EXACT water grand trine.
I mourn the absence of houses, due to the unknown hour, but still... IP: Logged |

It'd be nice to know his house placements. He has an exact Grand Water Trine between Pisces Jupiter, Cancer Moon, and Scorpio Mercury. That alone is very telling of his nature and motivations. As usual, very interesting FreeLeon.
I didn't even think about septiles, but it makes so much sense, with him promoting the species and it's survival, since their numbers dropped drastically.
I'll look up your video once I have more time at hand.

So much Libra!Sun,Venus, Mars,Uranus and Pluto in Libra. That Moon/Pluto square attracts him to danger as well as complexity. Often I find people with this aspect want to connect very deeply or have relationships that are NOT "easy" or cut and dry. And we can say that with Lions,nothing is cut and dry. He has to have his wits about him. Also notice how he pours himself to his work? That it becomes his life? This is Moon/Pluto in action. Where nothing is done in half measures. I also see that Saturn sits on Mars by square; energy is conserved and harnessed. It can also suggest patience and a willingness to follow through. With Moon/Pluto and Mars/Saturn square, I think he will die doing this. Its his life.He is committed. I thought him Libra when I first saw him. Even with the Sun/Mars square. The "aggression" that this aspect is famed for,comes out as energy and stamina to deal with everyday crises that come to the fore on the reserve. I think that this is crucial for someone who desires a life that is physically demanding (as Sun/Mars conjunct people often do). IP: Logged |

You know, I heard him a few times saying that, he is fully aware that he is playing with dangers and when people asks him if he is afraid of them killing him, he just says that he is not afraid, not necessarily because he doesn't think they wouldn't kill him, but because if he were to die doing this, he'd be very content with it

Not only is it in Aries, "the pioneer", but also opposite his stellium, more importantly his sun (feeling a sort of stirring toward other levels of reality, and a longing to journey there. Knowing thing that cannot be explained), his mars (guided into uncharted territory, and uncovers valuable keys which, once found, can be shared with others.) and uranus (Experiences of non-linear time could set you on a unique path of initiation into broader dimensions of reality.)
Everything he is doing relates to that.
We've (I have at least ahah) seen many videos about people adopting, living with, having friendly relationships with big cats. But what I,ve seen from him, being part of the pride of 48 lions, is unheard of, and he really is sharing what he learned, what he knows and believes in to other people while creating a path for other to maybe follow in the future. I'm willing to bet he has Gemini Ascendant. It would put those Libra placements in the 5th/Leo's House, and Chiron in the 11th, a very altruistic placement. Maybe he has a biocentric/ecocentric perception of reality (to some degree), though his lions would probably be vegan if that were the case IP: Logged |

I'm still trying to understand how in H dose this man get near giant Hyenas I just can't watch those video when he is around those animals... Lions don't put me on edge like the Hyenas do, I saw avideo once he was lying right next to them on the floor and those things just kept sniffing him they weren't lying down relaxing with him they kept circling him and just kept smelling him..the only thought running through my mind was oh yea their sniffing the blood running through your veins Kevin. I keep up with this mans transits and solar arcs to see when the time is coming. Yes I think one day these animals will take a lethal bite out of this man/ may end this man. Sometimes the things/people we love are the very things that kill us..there's many examples of this out there, I'm sure you guys know of some. IP: Logged |
