What kind of mind would this give someone? Could they possibly have some 'out there' thoughts?

I have an exceptionally vivid imagination but I also have issues getting them out of my head :-/ Or if I do manage, it'll most likely be incomprehensible!

I have Mercury semi-square Neptune. Mercury is also my chart ruler (Virgo) and chart ruler is square Neptune.

Neptune is rx in 4H.

Mercury-Neptune aspects make for a very figurative speaker. You may describe things in symbols.

This aspect is also good for things that require intuition to be interpreted like tarot and astrology.

Mercury trine neptune

Yes, love figurative language. Things remind me of other things easily. I'm much more a parallel than a sequential thinker. Having said that, because I naturally synthesize meaning, I don't understand why am so useless at tarot. At the same time I think my mind does work like tarot readers (that's why it baffles me so much I can't do it). Get a lot out of any art discipline but I can see a difference from venus-neptune (so jealous I don't have this) in I revel in the vessel/ narrative of a medium probably in a slightly different manner.

In answer to the question of having 'out there' thoughts, I can imagine that almost anything exists, as reality. Both neptune and Mercury trine saturn so usually filter eventually but up to that point, everything and anything is possible. Suppose maybe it's Mercury/neptune itself that's doing this filtering, clustering of ideas into meaning through the symbolic as goatcat says

does a square mean you have trouble filtering through your intuition?

I think it would depend on the placement (and sign) of both planets, but a trine is considered an "easy" aspect. That doesn't meant that you can't have "too much of a good thing" but it does come without the challenges associated with squares and oppositions.

I have Mercury Rx in Virgo/7th house trine Neptune Rx in Capricorn/11th house. I have a vivid imagination, prone to wishful and hopeful thinking, always think the best of people. Very artistic and musically-inclined. And yes, we do talk in symbols and figurative language. Easily misunderstood because many people assume that we're being literal when we're really not. It can be irritating to be constantly corrected, too.

I guess that depends on what you consider "out there" thoughts to be? If we're talking spiritual thoughts or metaphysical thoughts, then probably. I talk about things that people are sometimes freaked out by (spirits, ghosts, gut feelings, premonitions, etc.)
