So I've been working on learning about dominants in natal charts because I find this extremely important in an overall personality. First, I should mention that I've had people willingly give me their natal charts to study this, however, I was curious about these two things.First, when studying a certain chart a few things really stuck out to me. He is a Mercury/Virgo dominant but also a Moon/Cancer(15) dominant. Although I noticed that his moon sign is a Gemini and his moon is in his 12th house, however he is thirdly ruled by Gemini and the Sun. I really want to help him give direction but I'm a tad bit confused on all of this. Would anyone know how to approach this? The next person is a Mercury dominant followed by moon dominant and thirdly Uranus dominant. She is a Capricorn dominant, followed by Aquarius dominant and thirdly Gemini dominant. She has a Capricorn stellium but she also a stellium in the 3rd house. So I'm just confused on why she isn't a Saturn dominant. She has no Gemini planets or asteroids in her chart. Yet she is a dominant Gemini/Mercury. Her question to me was how being a dominant Gemini/Mercury dominance would effect her typical Capricorn self (without the obvious boost of intelligence). My only confusion is wondering if she really is a Mercury dom since she has so much Capricorn in her chart. Any suggestions with this one? Thank you for taking the time to read this, blessed be to all. ------------------ Cap Sun Leo Moon Aqua Merc Aqua Venus Cap Mars Libra Rising Leo IC ~~~Blessed Be~~~~ IP: Logged |

It would be easier to comment if you posted the list of placements for these people.ASC or MC can alter the dominants in the chart significantly. I have the cap stellium you refered, but I wouldn't give a lot of weight because its generational UNLESS that person has another personal planet in Cap conjunct said stellium. IP: Logged |

To add on what Soltze said, duplicated house in a sign can also alter the chart dominants and so can particular aspects to planets.

Do duplicated houses in a sign alter the chart dominants in a good way or bad way? Like, would you include them in with everything else, or would you somehow "subtract" them because they tip the scale too much? Just curious! IP: Logged |

The virgo's rising is a cancer and has a MC in pisces.the capricorn's rising is a libra with a Leo MC. I believe she has a personal planet stellium of capricorn in the 3rd house. IP: Logged |
