I don't know whether it is because they feel inferior to everyone or they say they are looking out for you. They wouldn't compliment or be happy about other's achievements. They have really hard time.

BTW in this video Aamir Khan is Pisces
Twinkle Khanna is Sag
and Host Karan is Gemini
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEoBO3Q_vbs

For very long time I had Pisces friend with Cap Moon who would get extremely upset on other's achievements has learn to appreciate other's achievements.

You know what, I don't know about inferior, but they do have a smart mouth sometimes and think they know it all.. They also have this thing where they can sometimes take the credit.. Pisces can be really determined though, especially the women..

No... I don't find Pisces competitive...
*shrug*

And Pisces Suns always compliment me on just about everything, but my Jupiter is in Pisces - so they like me

Maybe you guys have poor synastry with Pisces.

I'm competitive (with sports), I am a former college athlete. I have a Pisces sun and moon. But I have a Mars in Aries. My boyfriend is a Pisces with an Aries moon and we are competitive with each other, always making bets and saying "Challenge Accepted!" (HIMYM reference) ;-)

I'd say we are both competive with sports and don't like losing, but we don't take it too seriously. It's all fun and games, friendly competition I suppose.

NO! You just have some crappy synastry with pisces. We live to love and serve. Tired of all this negative **** about one of the most sensitive and compassionate signs on the zodiac.

Pisces has the "kumbaya" vibe, so I don't know what you're talking about...

You know there are 9 planets, right?
Maybe Pisces with too much fire?!?

I love Aamir Khan. I've had a crush on him ever since Lagaan.

Wow he's gained weight but still looks good.

I don't see him being insulting here. But please do note that his Mercury is in Aries and that sometimes manifests in a competitive way...

At work, they can be highly competitive. I worked with two Pisces females and they were ruthless. They acted as though they had managerial positions when they didn't.

When it comes to being competitive regarding achievements, they're not. I dated a Pisces who went to school with sons/daughters of diplomats and high placed professionals in DC but he ended up dropping out of college. He now lives in a small French town and works in the restaurant industry. All of his former peers went on to become successful professionals but he doesn't seem to care.

As a pisces myself I am competitive but healthy competitive I would say. I like to always do my best but I also like other people to their best so I always try to motivate my team and bring out the best of them. I help them always as much as I have (I have jupiter and mars in 11th house and my 6 house is full so maybe this is why)

As I am in managerial position I am in-charge of my team but I always want to make them feel like we are working together for the same goal rather then me being a superior.

So I don't agree with you that we are like that in general, pisces sun, maybe it depends on their other placements but I would say this is just based on their sun sign.

Pisces sun and Pisces venus in the 9th house.

Exactly this.

What's with the let's bash sun sign thing? There are 9 other planets, aspects that make us competitive and aspects that don't. Pisces energy on it's own is not competitive by nature.

No. Pisces is the least competitive modus operandi in the zodiac.

With your friend, Moon in Cap points more to what you are talking about, which is an emotional reaction related possibly to the self-esteem you mention.

Competitiveness = Mars/Sun/Jupiter, fire signs, oppositions.

You may be referring more to jealousy than competitiveness, which jumps in and takes action to compete. Simple emotional reactions adverse to others' success is not competitive, but envious.

Oh, imo the kumbaya vibe can definitely have an edge to it. There's a certain lack of self awareness which can certainly lend itself to egocentrism in a Pisces sun which is not operating on the transcendental side of Neptune, more on the delusional side. There are more and less evolved Pisceans, and there are different manifestations of energy throughout an individual's life.

I personally don't always find Pisces to be **overtly** on a path of service. If they are It won't always be evident to observers; it looks like they're focusing on themselves tothe exclusion of all others, at times. In fact, they are perhaps at the level where they recognize that in our inner-connectedness, self-work, self-love, IS and can be service of All, service of the divine.

Again though, Pisces can get so good at this that their other planetary energies do get caught in egoism. Nobody is purely Pisces. So their self-centeredness, which may be a relationship with the divine, CAN get confused about the divine nature of the connection and attribute it to their own personal ego--and they can get really puffed up on their own awesomeness (and they ARE awesome)-- but that's the great trip up of Pisces--over-coming the illusion of separation is the last task for them--knowing that true glory is shared, belongs to us all... There is no self and other. There is only ...

I don't find Pisces competitive.

Since Pisces is sandwiched between Aries and Aquarius, the likelyhood of a Pisces Sun having Venus or Mercury in Aries or Aquarius is high, and I suspect it's those planets placements that can make a Pisces sun appears competitive.

Also, there can be other aspects in the chart that point to competitiveness, but competition is not usually a Piscean quality.

Not typically physically competitive but emotionally? Yes!

It's like they want what others have, but who doesn't? Lol
They just don't hide it's well as others, they tend to wear their emotions for everyone to see...they can't hide their disappointment when you have something they want.
My son is a pisces, and he has a big heart but he's not always happy when others get or accomplish things he wants or wanted to accomplish...he gets moody and frustrated. He's just one of many pisces I've seen do this.

Seems like the women are. The men are almost too non competitive.

Pisces women are always comparing themselves to other women and can get vicious when it comes to perceived shortcomings.

Pisces men seem to be the opposite. I feel like they fold when confronted with competition.... unless theres a significant aries influence lol.

Myself as well with the negativity. *sigh*: Funny thing is, I have not seen (excuse if I missed legit negativity) a Pisces on here ever being mean (stating/sharing opinions, yes - takes two)... I've only seen Unjust hate on Pisces for absolutly no reason, except maybe due to interpersonal relationships (I've also been guilty of this as a way to relate)...which left a bad taste - if everyone wore their heart on their sleeve as Pisces do, this in actuality wouldn't happen because you know what's up. If water signs are so transparent, why do some other signs complain about manipulation? (Once again, not the Scorpio who went cold on you, the Pisces who swam away, or the Cancer who had a mood swing).
I've also never seen envy from a Pisces on here. I state on here because I assume whoever is on here is a true representation of their sign (it's an astrology forum, duh), and bashing one sign based on ones experiences in real life (not to be mistaken with the genuine attritubutes, good or bad, of a sign), should belong in the interpersonal forum. If you want to witness astrology at its best, all signs should be taken into consideration from posting on here just as much as in real life; if they are not, that's unrealistic because we've all encountered more than one sign in real life and some left a mark more than others, and as posters fore mentioned above, there is more than just a sun sign. On here it's hard to hide if you have opinions, just as with any other forum.
As far as competition, as a Triple Pisces who happens to have every fishy planet swimming in a fixed water house - yes, I like competition, but I never compete against others. If I have my eyes on a prize, I usually have no competition in the typical sense, because I find no one else finds it special in the way I do. In fact, I tend to keep to myself what I NEED - fighting for a want is not a Pisces trait - we hate fools gold!
Also, I've noticed the hard Pisces aspects here defend others and seem almost too "nice", until you realize that one day all you have to defend you - without any personal emotion, but true facts of topic at hand... Is that Pisces!
This topic is a great example - I've not seen one Pisces bash another sign to prove themselves on how competitive/not competitive they are.. Only defend(for it to hopefully not to turn into...everything the responses have become!) Also, other signs just stating their opinions on how a Pisces should/behave in response to this topic - how competitive Pisces are!
Btw - defending is not competition, attacking is!

Yes they can be competitive when they want something in a extreme way, they are ruled by Jupiter, first and foremost. It would be unwise to underestimate them. The key here is that they "want" something greatly, this creates the motivation to go after it.

Some Pisces just don't see this world as motivating -- Pisces and Earth is at odds with each other -- if you see the world as one big crap hole, why would you be so competitive when you know in the end that were only here for a short time -- "some" Pisces see this as a complete waste of time. While other Pisces do try to make a effort, and do a great job of it.

The fish (literally and biologically) is always looking for ways to out smart the worm and the hook, quite good at it because they know how to adapt to environmental conditions. Being competitive involves maneuvering, flexibility and manipulation. The sign Pisces seeks perfection -- perfection can create competitiveness. The need to show the world you have this immense vision or dream. Pisces like to experiment and that is a key to seeking new avenues that create ways to excel beyond others. Anything that is a twin creates double the power and double the resources. Twin or double-bodied signs have many different sides to them, lumping them into one box is a mistake -- Pisces, Sagittarius and Gemini. There is millions of Pisces walking around and not all of them is what we think they are.

Another thing about Pisces is that they don't set off to be competitive, it's the good job they do that make other people think they need to compete with them. Pisces can be immensely imaginative and have great ideas. Pisces begins to pick up on this, and this fuels this hidden competition within them to see just how high they can go. When Pisces gets a good idea they are not going to let it go without seeing how to get it to work for them.

The reason I think a Pisces would be irritated at other people achieving more than them is because some Pisces want to make a mark on the world, when they're not doing that, it disturbs them and makes them feel useless. It's not so much jealousy as it is "I wish I could find something I really like so I can do great things too" feeling...

I see it differently, Water can be just as competitive as Fire. The mode is just different, Water is never direct like Fire but it doesn't mean it has no competitive drive. Water is everything that is unconscious and what we really want but don't realize yet -- a great source of hidden power. Water continues to push on, Fire builds up than burns out -- Fire needs fuel to burn or something to ignite it. Water does not, it is always ignited and free flowing, it already has energy within it, getting to that energy takes extra steps.

I did know one Pisces who was openly competitive (and he'd say so), but I only know his sun sign.

But in my experience most are not. But sometimes they can REALLY WANT something...which just may be them "wearing their heart on their sleeve." Even so, I could see that being perceived as competitive if someone else was after the same thing (especially if the Pisces is as tenacious as a salmon seeking to get back to the spawning grounds ).

I've also known Pisces who really wanted to share their dreams and visions, and if it's something revolutionary (particularly in the psychic or spiritual sense) then it can come off as a bit Messianic. But I'd call that more obsessed than competitive (and they'd probably call it "dedicated.").

I haven't read through all of the responses but this is what I know of pisces - unless there is a lot of aries in the chart or they are born on the cusp they won't be particularly competitive. I have noticed that pisces women are much more determined (not to be confused with competitive) than the men.

Someone noted at the start of this thread that pisces like to take credit for things that that they really shouldn't be taking credit for. While I don't think that's necessarily a common personality trait I found it Interesting because my ex husband (pisces sun) does this quite a bit.
