Are my crush and I a good match? He's Capricorn and I'm cancer, we both have our moon in Gemini and his venus is in Capricorn and mine is in Cancer.

Are we a good match? Also do Capricorn like it when a girl makes the first move? Or should I let him?

I posted in soul unions, and get vibes that he's interested in me, but he hasn't made a move. Can't tell if he's being friendly, or is just suuuper slow...

He's the Cap here so I think this could work. Your shared Moon should help a lot. I'd be worried if it was the other round.

It's the 21st century. Get over it and make the first move, nicely.
If he doesn't respond nicely too, he's got complexes.

His venus is in Cap..he likes doing things the "traditional" way. Cap and Cancer are opposites. Opposites always attract.

When the more masculine partner (usually the guy) is the one with the Capricorn placements - then yes!
So it's a yes for you 😍

Not so much the other way around... from what I've seen.

And like all the oppositions, it can also lead to same-sex rivalry in certain contexts.
But they are definitely highly complementary energies, if they can learn to balance each other.

i think some opposite pairs can go really well together (libra/aries for instance) but there is something about cap/cancer energies that just don't seem to meld as easily. i think it's better in this pairing if the guy is cap and the girl is cancer, because a cancer man with a cap woman could come across as very weak/effeminite to her. if he has a sun/venus in cap he'll be slow, and very traditional, and wouldn't find overly aggressive girls attractive, unless it's in her career

Having complimentary Moon signs does help.
Especially when that Moon sign is Gemini...because it "lightens up"
the more serious/taciturn nature of Cap.

As a Cap Moon/Cancer Sun I must say that things dont go well when I date myself

When I've dated other Caps or Cancers things haven't gone so well either. I much prefer squares!

Yah I wish you the best of luck. Having moons in the same sign is good for smoothing things out.

Personally I don't do well with cancer energy. The men I know are often nice to look at, so probably I do experience the opposite attraction on some level.

First moves... Hmm from what I've seen, it's usually easier on the other person when the caps make the move. Speaking for myself and some of my cap friends (yeah just some, I don't know about the rest), of course. When we make the move, we invite the other person to join us. We seem to be more eager to please, and to a certain extent, more willing to compromise. When someone else makes the first moves, it can trigger our seemingly never-ending contemplation and assessment - it's likely that the person will have to deal with the less appealing saturnine side of us. The whole thing makes us feel like we're gingerly stepping into love.

Personally, I like falling hard and fast. Someone whose presence fries my nerves and I just need that person to exist in my life. Hence, if I don't make a move, it means a no-go. Also ime, even in friendship, cancer energy often works its magic quietly and slowly. While it can be good, it's not fast enough for me. Results in a rather luke-warm feeling.

Hello summerlove22! Welcome to LL

Cancer and Capricorn are opposites, so at face value there are a many differences between them.

There are also "complementary opposites" as well as a number of astro variables that can make this a perfect match.

Astrology is so much more than just Sun signs.

There is absolutely no way to know this without seeing the two charts together. There is nothing wrong with Cancers and Capricorns getting together. These two sun signs can find sympathy and balance. But by themselves this tells us nothing.

I hear what Kannon is saying there ^^ but I think that there is some validity in pointing out how this oppositionin particular can play out.

I'm a Cap moon and my soon to be ex (?) is a Cancer moon. He is indeed in some way I can't put my finger on, a little bit wishy washy for me--even though in many regards he is no-nonsense, and very masculine (Mars in Leo on his Midheaven squares my Scorpio Pluto), and needless to say I feel the force of his masculinity on many levels--yet I palpate that soft inner core and while my Scorpio sun and Mercury and Pluto say 'yes, aaahhh, a water being, how delightful and emotional etc etc'-- my Capricorn moon is pretty aloof and nonplussed by his emotional tides. Mountain vs. Tide. The Mountain doesn't really give a rat's....
