Tiger woman!

But between dragon and goat - I would choose goat.

What are the elements?

In my opinion the best match for a Horse man is a Tiger woman.

Out of Dragon and Goat, Dragon is the better match for a Horse man.

^ Are you going by the Western equivalents in saying that? i.e. Horse -> Gemini and Dragon -> Aries...
Just wondering.

Because, from what I've seen... Dragons are a lot more possessive, and dominant, than Aries (like Leo/Scorpio), and Horses are not nearly as submissive or yielding as Geminis. They have a stubborn streak.

I think the Dragon is too controlling for the Horse.

well this example is out of a metal horse with an earth dragon, or metal horse with a metal goat?

And yes, I too agree that I have heard that dragon and horse are not the best together due to ego clashes, but some say otherwise. So just curious..

What makes you say Dragon over Goat?

It's just the year, so it's very general. Look to the day, month and hour for more info. But yeah. Dog, Tiger, Horse are the matching trio.

Speaking of incompatibility, for the horse, only rat is truly clashing. And it's because horse is ruled by fire, and rat by water.

I look at the specific year too. In the specific branch of chinese astrology I know, it goes like this - For example:

I was born in 1990. The heavenly stem is metal. Earthly branch is horse - ruled by fire. Together the final element of my year is earth.

My s.o was born in 1985. The heavenly pillar is Wood. Earthly branch is Ox - ruled by earth. Final element of his year is metal.

Metal is born from earth. On a basic standard, we're considered pretty well-matched despite the fact that horse and ox isn't the "best" combination.

If you're speaking of the dragons born in 1988, their year element is wood. Wood takes from earth, hence isn't generally considered "good" for horses of 1990.

A lot of this comes from old fashioned astrology. I mostly only use the matching signs thing to draw up houses in charts. I don't really use them to analyze personality compatibility.

For me it seems to work - intertwined with Western astrology, in a sense.

For instance, if I have great Western synastry with an Ox (born '85)... and great Western synastry with a Dog (born '82)... I'll be much closer to the Dog and feel an instant connection.
It's not exactly the same with the Ox.
With Leo Dogs ... we're like two peas in a pod... But Leo Oxes.. hmmm... We're a bit more detached. Our bond isn't as close-knit. I'm an Aries Tiger.

.

So when you look at the day, month and hour.. do those specific compatibilities correspond to to someone else's day, month and hour?
Since they're all different..

I am a pig woman dating a horse man. Its still fairly early days but I feel we compliment each other well. However the online descriptions of a horse-pig match are rather disheartening aha.

However each of our Day/Month/Hour pillars are a bit better e.g
I am Snake (Hour), Tiger (Day), Dragon (Month) and Pig (Year)

He is Horse (h), Dragon (d), Goat (m) and Horse (y)

I hope that looks okay aha
