I want to talk about Gemini people, and how they can be in relationships.

They can be so confusing sometimes, but awesome at the same time. A lot of Gemini people I met, are very intelligent, funny but they can also be very cold sometimes. For example, my sister, she has Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars in Gemini, and all these in 3rd house. She seems so emotionally detached, can be very negative, cold.. not like I can't be stubborn, annoying or similar, I am Capricorn , but just talking.

What I love so much? As I have Aquarius Venus and love my free time and no drama scenes in relationships, and generally Geminis are just like that.

But what I don't like so much is coldness that they can have sometimes, emotional detachment, they often don't show their softer side.

I would like to hear experiences from other people? What placement can make them a bit gentler?

I too have found a man with Gemini Moon and Venus prone to detachment and most of all.. mind games. Also he is extremely moody and negative!
I think they don't know what they want so they jump from one thing to the next and like to play games with people's minds to spark a reaction from someone.
I think they thrive on this.

Gemini sun is actually not as bad in my experience than Moon and Venus.
I have Venus in Gemini and i'll admit i'm a bit detached and flighty.. i want a little bit of everything, but when it comes down to serious matters of the heart I'm dedicated to the right one.

I also have one close friend, he is Gemini Sun and Venus, but Cancer Moon. He is hesitant, he wants some serious relationship in one moment, and someone who will understands him, but he can break up at any moment and just will continue to look for someone else, or have fun for some period, and after some time, he will be like - But I really want some serious relationship.

Also seems like they like good conversation, they like to talk with partner, a variety of topics, and have fun.

My brother has gemini sun & a couple of other planets there but a taurus moon. He has a certain detachment but a suprising softness especially when close to people. It's the more endearing because it isn't readily apparent. He displays these energies in a very well-balanced and fluid way even though they are different - some times too well and I wonder at the hidden layers between

In my opinion Geminis don't like to have problems. They want to appear as if they are perfect to everyone. They can't stand to have problems or any imperfections and they simply won't waste time with it or tolerate it. They'd rather dismiss it as irrelevant and they are optimistic by nature. (or at least want to be). Some people have said that Geminis want to run away from their problems. I don't think that is true. They just possibly deal with problems differently than everyone else. They like to do things "their way" kind of like an Aquarius likes to march to their own drumbeat and be forever unique. It's kind of the same thing with Gemini except with a Gemini it is more about doing things creatively in their own way rather than just trying to be "inventive" and being unique. That's why Geminis give a sort of spark to Aquarius and Sagittarius for example is that Geminis are so creative with coming up with interesting ideas, opinions, and interesting things to say that it just fuels an Aquarius's thought process I guess and they love the creativity and uniqueness I guess that goes along with it. While Sags are all about the bigger picture and it just fuels "their" thinking process I guess? lol Gem and Sags seem to constantly feed off of each other. A Gem could say something and then a Sag could present it a different way and vice versa.

At least I do, being a Gemini myself. They are also very flighty. Sometimes I'll just get bored or annoyed from a conversation and just leave.

I feel your pain though because I don't really understand Capricorns lol. I know they are very goal oriented and have a dark sense of humor but that's about it. I understand Cancers just not Capricorns as much.

I know that for me when I'm mad or emotional I can get really quiet and don't like to talk. Which is not normal for a Gemini lol... and can be perceived as being "cold" I guess. We Geminis also go from hot to cold pretty much every day. I guess the truth is that we are many people because we are just too adaptable and pretty much soak everything in due to our curious natures but also at the same time constant thinking natures. When I was young before I even knew what astrology was my father told me that I was like a sponge. I didn't know what he meant at first but now I do. My father is a Virgo and I think the difference between Virgo and Geminis is that Virgos are more about collecting information in a valuable very detailed fashion. They like to analyze everything when trying to accomplish a task I assume. Where as a Gemini is all about collecting information just for the sheer fact of they want to absorb as much knowledge as they possibly can just for the sake of "storing" that knowledge. That makes sense why Geminis are prone to mental disorders. Collecting information naturally just because they want to learn and know everything about everything can sometimes backfire on them. My friend labeled me as a walking hard drive one time. We are next to Cancer on the Zodiac wheel but we are an air sign which means that we have an emotional current about us that is geared more towards our thoughts I guess? Isn't that everyone though? lol...... I hope this makes sense... if it helps I have a hard time understanding Capricorns. I have some Cap in my chart and I know what it is like as far as the goal oriented aspect of a Capricorn because I have to put so much effort into communication with other people because one of my Capricorn placements is in the 3rd house of communication or something like that. I'm more comfortable writing and typing rather than talking to be honest but it has gotten better over the years. I'm now better with it. Other than that though, I know you Caps have a good sense of humor and sometimes it can be a dark sense of humor. Which is cool, because it fits in with my Scorpio and Cancerian side. I know that everyone has some DARK **** going through their mind. XD I think the good thing between Caps and Geminis is that they both have good sense of humors and can make each other laugh but can also get on each others nerves sometimes too, which is healthy. lol

I feel like the sign of Gemini is so varied that how the rest of the chart looks beyond the sun sign is EXTREMELY important in determining how that person will be. Speaking as a Gemini sun I always read the cookbook interpretations and thought...no way. On the surface, sure, I like to laugh and joke around and have a good time, brushing things off quite easily, avoiding confrontation and can engage just about anyone in conversation about anything, but when it comes to matters of the heart I am very serious.

I have many varied interests and have dabbled in a lot of different sports/activities/hobbies, but I am not this way with love interests. I am definitely a serial monogamist and will give someone my all. To me, playing the field seems overwhelming and EXHAUSTING not to mention again, I'd rather avoid the ugly emotional confrontation of hurting someone's feelings. I am very sensitive and very sensitive to the wants and desires of my partner which is not typical of a cookbook Gemini.

I think Gemini and Cancer can both be described as the "moodiest" of the zodiac but for different reasons (and why this can be such a good pair - as long as there is an understanding). I know for me personally, my mood varies in a day depending on how much I'm "overthinking" something. I shut down and become very uncommunicative which I think puts some people off because I'm not my "normal" self. I think this can sometimes be misconstrued as not caring (hence the "cold" reputation) but this is just the same as someone saying a Cancer doesn't care when they are in a bad mood.

The key to surviving a relationship with a Gemini is just to weather the ups and downs just like with a Cancer - stay consistent, solid and take comfort in knowing the storm will pass. Geminis want a safe place to rest their scattered mind. Be fun, light hearted and a little unpredictable at the same time and you'll be fine!

Totally agree. I am definitely extremely serious about matters concerning the human heart. If you hurt someone around me I'm like a nuclear explosion.

So you must be an Scorpio rising, like I am? I think I just replied to your topic, about Scorpios.

Anyway, yes, even I hate myself, cause of some negative thoughts and acts sometimes. But as I have some Aquarius placements, especially that Venus, I understand Geminis in some way, in some don't. Like a friends, I have nothing bad to say, I like my Gemini friends, but in relationships, it depends I guess on Moon and Venus placements. I have that soft Pisces Moon in 4th house, so I'm not so cold Capricorn.

Also, do you think that Mercury in some water sign, like Cancer for example, can make an Gemini to talk with more emotions and feel with people's pain or similar? Or Mars?

Sorry for my English, not my native language.

No problem. This is so ******* weird by the way. I literally just thought to myself...."Get on linda-goodman.com".... wtf.. I haven't been on this site in a good year or 2. I've had these weird experiences with high water influences. The most with my Cancer friend.

Yeah, I'm just like you I think. Regarding your question... which is a very good question lol. I honestly don't know. My mercury is in Gemini and my Mars in Aries. I have such a contradicting chart though. It's like I want to talk to people but I'm afraid at the same time to lol. I know that a Mars in Scorpio is very explosive just like a Mars in Aries but as far as Mercury I would need to do more research to give you a better answer.

English isn't your native language? I'm actually impressed. Or wait.. was that a joke of some kind?

Oh, Mercury in Gemini, hmm you are true thinker then, and if you have that 3rd house in Capricorn like me, I understand why you'd ratter write to someone sometimes, than to talk. I have that blockade sometimes, I can chat with someone and talk about thousand of things, but sometimes when I talk with someone, I just can have blockade and not to say things I even know, weird.

Yea, strong Mars placement, I have for example Mars in Cancer, can be passive aggressive, but emotional also.

Haha, no, it wasn't a joke. But I'm not that good.

Yes, definitely. I have Cancer Mercury and Scorpio Moon which I think is where most of my emotion/moodiness/sensitivity comes from. I think the Moon is a better representation of how someone will be in a relationship since this is our "intimate" side which only the people closest to us would see anyway.

Okay, well in that case I'm impressed if English isn't your native. I'm guessing you were born in 1990, 91, 92? Yeah it's different when you are talking and writing. Writing you have so much time to think about things versus talking with people it is in the here and now. I know what you mean though. Mars in Cancer? I bet you blow up when people hurt other people especially your family or friends.

Look at the Moon to see the inside of the person. I am a super strong Gemini, but my Cancer Moon makes me very Cancer like when people know me.

Yea, I was born in 92. Well, yes, you're right, I can be very protective. And as I have Mars in 9th house and Mercury in Sagittarius, I can also have fast, big tongue, then I feel like a .... cause of some words I said but didn't really mean it..

I have a Gemini Sun conj. Gemini Venus, and my 7th ruler Saturn is also in Gemini. For the longest time, I couldn't see my Gemini traits clearly, which probably has something to do with them being in the 12th house, but other people could see them. I always felt like I related much more to my Cancer Rising or Virgo Moon.

Each time I'd read descriptions of Gemini traits, though, I'd often find myself thinking, 'Hmm, I do that, don't I?" I began to notice it more when I would do something very typically Gemini.

One of the things I've come to appreciate a lot about my Gem planets is my ability to adapt and think quickly on my feet. I'm also very versatile and flexible. I don't get rattled easily.

In contrast, my husband is a Scorpio Sun-Venus in 2nd house square Leo Moon in 11th. All of that Fixed house and sign energy is very obvious with him. My Gem Sun-Venus in 12th square Virgo Moon in 3rd loads me up with Mutable energy.

I've noticed that whenever something doesn't go as planned, my husband gets WAY more frustrated about it than I do. He has more trouble shifting gears or switching to a different track. Once he is locked on and "fixed" on a target or objective, any deviation from the expected course just aggravates him to no end. He stubbornly tries to hold fast to his original idea or goal and resists any suggestions to change course or tactics. Sometimes it gets pretty comical.

Obviously, being that way can also be a plus when pure die-hard determination is needed, but I do notice that all my mutable energy helps me to just shrug things off more easily and adapt more quickly to life's little unexpected curve balls.

I also notice my Gem energy and his Scorpio energy make for a strange combination that you'd think would just not work, but for some reason it's like super glue. When he gets stuck in his fixed energy mud, though, I do appreciate my more mutable happy-go-lucky Gem energy.

One of the best perks of all about having Gem placements, though, is the youthful factor. Once I turned 40, I got in a funk about getting older, but noone ever, ever believes I'm in my 40's. Everyone says they think I'm late 20's or 30 at the very most. So, that's one Gem perk I'm loving. Maybe when I'm 80 I'll still look a good 65.

Lots Cancer with some Taurus placement, would make Gemini gentler, I guess. Also 8th house will add seriousness.
