My ex was a gemini Sun and I've never known anyone with such a bad temper....he was edgy and sarcastic. I was watching a reality tv show and saw a guy that reminded me of my ex. In the show this guy spit on someone when he got mad at them, something is seen my ex do. So I looked up the guy from TV and found out he was a gemini to.

Have you found Gemini's to be like this?

i had a gemini ex, who threw all sorts of tantrums. broke dishes. got mildly violent (but nothing too much to handle since im a guy). used to cry all the time. she had a few terrible exes from the past.

i was the first normal relationship she had, so she was purging. i dunno. geminis are weird. part of me wants to say they can be a powerful force if they channel themselves correctly. but that can also be easily led astray.

Yes, and about TV show, the same happened to me. I was watching it before few days and that guy kept my attention, so I had to find his birth date cause I was pretty sure, he is an Gemini, and I was right.
Also, my sister is Gemini too, she can be also like that, nervous, moody and very sarcastic..

I'm a Gemini sun.

I've got a nasty temper when pushed, but I've got an overactive Mars in Aries. I also have Moon conjunct Mars in Aries. I wouldn't spit on someone because I think it's disrespectful, but I would throw stuff around (probably alone). I try not to let my anger out around other people, because people don't really understand that it's sadness (usually) or hurt.

P.s. Were you watching Scott Disick on KUWTK by any chance?

I completely agree with you. Every gemini I've met has carried around compartmentalized feelings that usu come out at the wrong time in the wrong way. What has helped you cope with this best ikja?

Honestly? In the first instance, avoiding people who push my buttons. Sounds anti social, but because losing my temper actually makes me feel quite sad in and of itself... I would rather steer clear of having to 'let rip'. I'm not afraid of my anger, but I just don't like being angry because it takes me a while for my body/mind to recover.

If I can't avoid getting angry, then having a long conversation with someone about why I'm angry helps, that way I get all of my anger out (releasing it) and then move on from it eventually.
If talking is not possible, then I like typing things out then sending it or storing it.

Most of my close friends have received a long text from me at some point in their lives, because I am someone who needs to get what they feel off their chest, otherwise it just gets buried and comes out at the next available opportunity.

If none of those things are possible, then going for a walk or a run helps; but this wouldn't speed up my 'cooling off' process per se. I wouldn't be cool until I told the person or SHOWED the person that I was unhappy with them.

For example, if people get on my nerves at work, my body language automatically changes with them and they KNOW I am annoyed. Until the feelings run through and out of my body, I will not be ok with them.

I get over the initial offence quickly, but dealing with the effect that the offence has on my body and my mind is another thing. Sounds strange, but I hope it makes sense lol.

Yes I was, I've thought before he reminded me of my ex but when I saw him explode and spit on someone, I had to look up his chart. That outburst looked so much like my ex during a tantrum.

Ya it seems like they have so much potential but rarely use it for good. Lol

Not strange at all. In fact thats a very normal coping mechanism. I'm an aquarian(S-M)/libra(Asc), and this is effectively the same strategy I follow.

I was curious because I'm not really sure how to reach out to geminis when they go through their happy to angsty moods. But it seems like, for you atleast, that it has to come from within. So good on you for that!

I have Gemini ASC and Mars in Gemini... unfortunately a LOT irritates me and they're non-related things so I probably seem terminally bitchy to strangers ('cause you know...the whole "can't hide what I'm thinking on my face" thing) I'm only vindictive or impulsive like that when I am beyond angry though, which is more rare.

However, I know a Mercury / Venus in Gemini and shoot! That boy walked out on his job after writing a nasty note to our shift manager because she wouldn't let him work part-time at weird hours. He left it there for everybody to see and had a hissy fit.

In short, yes I think if Sags are cool and collected (even when mad) then Gemini definitely have that spitfire temper.

My advice, try and talk it through after a few hours. We love to dissect lol. If they are still angry, let them have space to work through it. They will be back. That's once thing, if your relationship is strong enough, once they felt the anger and dealt with it... They will be back eventually. Just always be prepared for some kind of conversation to recap and summarise exactly what went wrong lol.

I don't know every Gemini is different...I looked that reality tv guy up, he has Moon in Sagittarius which is a fiery Moon. He has Mars opposite Moon, Sun conjunct Mars, Mars opposite Uranus, Mars opposite Jupiter. Oppositions already suggest other people will be a source of your growth or lack of. He got a Mars like a bomb, he can go extreme and fast, and go from 0 to 80 without even trying. His Gemini Sun has opposition Uranus, opposite Moon, opposite Jupiter, semi-square Venus. You would think his bi-quintile Saturn would help, but it's conjunct Pluto. I never watch reality shows so don't know anything about him, so other things could be at play.

Spitting on people is disgusting and vile and his aspects explain so much of the why.

I can see the advantages of both types of responses.
Now I'm older, I'm 150% against playing games with people's emotions (intentionally/unintentionally). So, I would say reply relatively quickly - stay true to your emotions.

On the other hand, I do think that Gemini women need to appreciated that other people have feelings too and they can't just disappear for however long they feel like and then only come back when THEY want to talk.

Gemini women should try to and talk things out first e.g. 'I need space, give me some time. I'll be in touch.' If the female hasn't given you that level of respect (at least), you're well within your right to take some time to respond. I wouldn't blame you.

Then, when you start talking again, tell her exactly what she did that you didn't like. Sometimes you have to teach us Gemini women how to behave, but not in a mean way!!!

My husband is a Gemini with Moon in Sag. He is the most gentle soul. He rarely or rather never gets mad and always keeps his patience. When he gets mad it's not even really mad. Weird huh? He has Venus conjunct Ascendant in Cancer and Mars in Pisces. His Sun is in applying conjunction to Saturn in the 12th house. Maybe that helps but this I don't recognise.

I'm a saggy stellium girl so my Ex's temper drive me bonkers! I just didn't unstand why he would be so tense, stressed and looking for a reason to justify his being upset. It was like he was ready to flip out all the time over nothing.

He has a Leo Moon
Cancer Mars/Venus
Aqua AC
His Suns only aspect is square Pluto by 5 degrees, that explains some of it!

I'd lay most of the blame on his Cancer Mars. I have a Gemini Sun and Gem Venus and a Cancer Mars. My Cancer Mars is the thing that gets me into trouble the most of all my placements.

I love it now, only because I've learned it's ups and downs over the years, but when I was younger and more immature, I had a hard time getting a handle on it. It took me quite a few years.

With Mars being in it's fall in Cancer, it takes practice and maturity to learn to mimic a healthy expression of anger. I say mimic, because I don't think we Cancer Mars natives ever develop a "natural" healthy expression of anger, we just learn to copy the correct expression of anger until we get pretty good at it. It never seems to come intuitively.

Cancer Mars expresses anger almost exactly like an Aries Moon. It flares up quickly, sometimes rapid fire, and sometimes out of nowhere. It often takes even us by surprise. It's almost always our emotions just venting themselves, and like a flash-fire, it's over as quickly as it started. Then, we immediately feel guilt and remorse for our angry emotional reaction... usually overreaction. Then, we spend the next several hours or days more angry at ourselves than we ever were at the original trigger. It's a stupid, immature cycle, and it is a huge relief when we finally mature and learn to recognize it and begin to achieve some level of control over it.

Anyway... sorry for the birdwalk off into Cancer land. This is a Gem thread, so I'll get back on track.

I'm just not buying the premise of the question. I don't think I can remember seeing a Gemini mad. I have a pretty even temper, and when I do finally get to that point, you're more likely to get a cutting remark than a temper tantrum.

Anger gets in the way of our mission in life... thought and communication.

Look to Mars. Saints preserve me from those crazy moon-mars-pluto types...

Edit: there was a time at work... A coworker was having problems with a program... Long story short, after repeated attempts to tell and show him what not to do, he forgot/ignored me and screwed something up, then blamed me while asking me to fix it. I hadn't had my morning caffeine yet... I started counting to 10. I made it to 5 before I calmed down. For the next day and a half he went around telling everyone how he managed to get me to count to 5. Lol!

Not geminis but Ive known a couple virgos with horrible horrible tempers. And I know mars aspects to mercury can indicate a bad temper as well.

I think there is something to do with mercury that traditional astrology doesnt really go in depth with
