How about that? I read somewhere it's rare but I think that might be bs. But when you do have them how do they work out for you? Is it God given talent, creativity? Somewhere I read something spiritual. The latter might be because it's a talent which you haven't 'learned'. Hmmm ... Tell us your story!

I have

Neptune quintile Moon
Pluto quintile Mars
Neptune quintile Ascendant

To list a few and there is more so I will b reading that. Funnily my husband does not have any Q's.

Oh and I have another one Lilith Q MC. One biquintile from Moon to Ascendant. But biquintiles are certainly not getting the same interpretation.

quote:
The quintile and the biquintile are "minor aspects", and are 72 and 144 degrees respectively. These aspects are arrived at by dividing the circle into 5, and are best understood by looking to the symbology behind the number five.

Quintiles and bi-quintiles point to talent, the desire to create order and to categorize, a fascination with patterns and structures, perfectionist tendencies, and the desire to build or make things. These aspects in the fifth harmonic have the characteristics of both the trine and opposition. They point to awareness of conflicts or problems and finding solutions for them.

The following are descriptions of these Quintile or Bi-Quintile aspects between the planets Sun through Pluto. These aspects can also apply for the semi-quintile, or decile, of 36 degrees, or the vigintile of 18 degrees, and will only apply for Sun-Mercury and Sun-Venus aspects because of the proximity of the Sun to Mercury and Venus.

Read More Here

* I have 0 Leo Saturn quintile 11 Libra Pluto. Reading from link above:

quote:
You can be very critical and opinionated about different cultures, life styles, and artistic approaches. Waste and extravagance, poor ethics, sloppiness and inefficiency in intellectual or artistic works can be very disappointing to you.

^^ edit ~ It's hard to recognize myself in that.

* I also have 5 Aqua Mercury quintile 16 Aries Jupiter.

quote:
You thoroughly enjoy being exposed to new ideas and perspectives. You seem to know a little bit about everything, and you find different philosophies, styles, and approaches very interesting. You tend to not be as opinionated as most people or to take all these different ideas as seriously as many others do.

^^ THIS is accurate. See how it conflicts with the first reading?

I have Mars quintile Mercury, Venus quintile MC.. And, depending on orbs used, it could be said I have Pluto quintile Chiron. The only reason why I mention this one, even considering the somewhat loose orb, I feel that the definitions for Pluto-Chiron aspects resonate with me pretty strongly at times. However, it could be from something else.

Thanks for the reply Faith! What I don't get is that on cafe astrology they put both the Q and the BQ in the same interpretation. It's clearly not the same. Is this because 'they' don't know enough about it?

The description written about the Q aspect though do fit me very much. And this must be the Neptune umph I have but was looking for I thought I didn't have according to the aspects.

Moon Quintile or Bi-Quintile Neptune

You have a very creative imagination. You appreciate imaginative stories, arts, and music. Your dreams may be vivid. Art or music is a good outlet for you, either by creating the works yourself or appreciating the work of others.

Why do you think the description of Saturn Q doesn't fit you? And why is this such a negative disappointing description when it is supposedly God's GIFT ? Something smells fishy here! Doesn't add up right?

Mars Quintile Pluto description is also very true for me

You have a talent for putting a personal, creative touch into whatever you do. You have good stamina and you are invigorated by challenges. You are resourceful and seek out clever solutions to any problem and to meet any obstacle.

This might be me feeling always so full of solutions and never worried. This one I really do feel strongly daily. Others have worries I have never known or don't see. It's certainly a gift to feel it like this.

Faith I would change that description. It seems like because Saturn is playing along it gets a bad rep.

It might give you a very earthy systematic, practical and solid base, something of endurance? Whenever the going gets tough you can lean on your base and can trust it fully. I have no clue if I am talking sensible. But it sounds good! Hah!

I can imagine something about the first two aspects but how does Pluto Q Chiron feel like? What does it do?

Thanks! I think that may apply...I've said my Mars sextile Jupiter exact is my "base"...I do have a base...and this could be part of it.

Found this reading:

quote:
Saturn quintile Pluto

You are masterful at wielding power and holding positions of authority. It is very likely that you will gravitate to executive positions and/or amass great wealth. You have an uncanny business instinct. You are highly sensitive and perceptive, and you penetrate to the essence of whatever or whomever you direct your attention to. Despite being of a rather serious and intense temperament, you can utilize surprise, play and creativity to great effect, which makes you an excellent leader or teacher. You may be gifted in the physical sciences.

Much more accurate! Not that I've ever led a business...but I think I could. And I'm not just trying to accomodate my ego , but as you said, this is supposed to be a positive aspect, so the first reading for Saturn Q Pluto didn't make sense.

And I like your quintiles!! They match your personality ~ as you show it here.

I can see that quintiles áre spiritual in nature as it is a talent, a gift, something you bring into this world. It will help others in some way and of course yourself. So you leading a business will be done skilfully and therefor is very motivating for staff to grow in their function. Or if you have your own business it might be something that is good for humanity. The second description you posted makes so much more sense!! It sounds very very exciting!! I'd say GO FOR IT!

My Nept Q Moon will mostly be used for humanity. Actually I am all about serving and healing; Pisces north node in 6th, healing others and automatically self. I was someone with a big ego (Jupiter trine Sun) and I have put this aside through the years because I felt in my core this wasn't my path; singing, stage, theatre plays etc. I have noticed how my intuition is very well developed but only when i trust it and I have only began to do so the latest months. How it will help others to find their passion when we have been interacting. Sure it's nice that I feel a bit satisfied with my fantastic visualisations but it satisfies big time if my fellow man is lifted as well. So yeah, spiritual it is as in serving mankind.

Hey but lemme think about this some more. So many gifted spiritual creative people don't have as much quintiles. And sure they have other aspects that make it so.
I'll be back later. I am not focussed right now.

It might be we just have been given a sort of free ticket and 'they' cut us some slack. It's all up to us what we do with it.

I LOVE that! And your sun trine Jupiter is definitely inspiring too! You have a very fun *presence* about you, makes people want to linger and hear what makes you tick.

I've got Pluto and my North Node quintile my ascendant and Neptune biquintile my midheaven.

From what I've been able to find on these aspects, Neptune biquintile midheaven would signify creativity with music or art which is true for me as I love to draw, paint and play piano and guitar.

I just looked up more on Pluto quintile ascendant as I've never found a definite description that resonates with me, but I just found this:

"The planetary energies are positively linked, subtle, and spiritual in dimension.
This aspect gives a personality with a focus on being recognized and admired. You have strong desires, and are single-minded about pursuing them. You have an urge toward self transformation, and may go through many changes in your life. You tend to champion the underdog, and react strongly to social injustice. When you train your considerable energy on socially oriented rather than personal goals, you can become a focal point for the transformation of society."
http://setlist.com/kerry/charts/Jerrys_Birth.htm

This description makes alot of sense for me. I'm very interested in spiritual things as well as astrology, numerology, feng shui, ect. And I love love learning as much as I can about myself and others and I'm always trying to improve and transform myself to become the best possible person I can be.

Thanks ~ yeah, it's just a dream ~ but I love quirky coffeehouses so much.

Here's my rectified chart:

As you can see I have sun square Jupiter. Really obvious in my life...I overdo things all the time.

Happy to bump this thread since I think quintiles need more exposure!

I have four natally. I found these interpretations below to be quite on target for me:

Moon Q Venus

"You enjoy, and seek out, relationships that bring interesting experiences into your life. Laughter, games, and learning together are likely to be more important to you than physical attraction. You are likely to take a creative approach to your home environment and your tastes are a bit unconventional or more sensitively developed than other people in your family. If you have not developed the qualities described above, then this is a side of yourself that you may have suppressed or avoided, and consequently liberating your creative, fun-loving side can fill an empty or missing aspect of your life." http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/quintile_biquintile.html

Jupiter Q Ascendant

"Behaviours involving risk-taking; grand and impressive gestures; exhibitionism; absence of inhibition." http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-aspects/quintile-5th-harmonic.php

Sun Q Chiron

"You are very gifted at understanding subtle energies, symbolism and other dimensions of reality. You would be an excellent astrologer, healer and/or spiritual guide. You are likely to have perceptions that do not fit with conventional philosophies, and these can lead you into expanded states and a greater awareness." http://members.wizzards.net/~magyan/Sun_Aspects.htm

Neptune Q Vertex

I couldn't find an interpretation for a quintile, but other interpretations for flowing Nep-Vertex aspects suggests this is a highly artistic aspect but also one prone to themes of escapism and difficulty dealing with reality.
