I have been trying extra hard to find a job or paid internship, but nothing has happened! I usually find something within 3 months. However, my phone has been unusually silent for the past 4 months. I'm so sick of it. I'm literally dying. I'm not sure how to move forward. This drought is quite unique to me.

Thanks.

My chart (with progressions):

I have had poor luck finding jobs or good jobs when transit Saturn was making square or opposition to my 6th house planets. Also when Saturn was transiting in my 6th house.

Also, Saturn aspecting with my 2nd or 8th house planets or ruler has been a time of struggling with finding jobs or any job would be crappy.

Thanks Belage!

I see. I know someone who currently has Saturn transiting his 6th house and he's stable job-wise (for now).

The transit will start some time soon for me, which is rather scary because it will last a good while.

I'm hating this pretty badly already. Saturn transits are never fun. I'd rather have it transit my 5th house at this stage. I can't remain jobless!! I wish Saturn would vanish forever.

I would blame transiting Chiron and Neptune around your MC...
When Chiron and Neptune were squaring my MC from the 6th house I was unemployed.

After doing some analysis, I discovered that if you have a big transit or progression coming up, plan before it happens!!

Like if Jupiter/Saturn enters your 10th or 6th house, don't expect loads and loads to happen. You have to have all things in place before they hit and then when they arrive, you'll be in an even better position.

In relation to your situation, Mercury goes direct today which should help you a little, but Saturn is probably forcing you to focus somewhere else in your life wrote now.

Maybe now is not the right time to job hunt?

Thanks Gemini!

How long does this transit usually last?

I can't take this anymore. I feel so useless and unworthy, it's frustrating.

Thanks for this!

I just had no clue Saturn was going to transit my 6th house. I found that out about two weeks ago.

I can't possibly remain inactive. Focusing on something other than work is going to frustrate me even more because I will feel like my life is going nowhere.

Besides, September-December is usually the right period of job hunting, otherwise I'll be stuck until mid-January at the very least.

Unfortunately MineAgain, you may have to look into jobs you don't like, jobs that are boring (Saturn is boring), dirty (saturn is dirty), menial, jobs that are not exciting etc. You get the drift... At least with Saturn there in your 6th, you might be able to get those jobs.

When Saturn was squaring my 6th house planets, I couldn't even get those jobs, I was too qualified.

I have looked into those and I get rejected because I'm too qualified. I don't fit what they are looking for. Sigh.

I just checked. This Saturn transit ends in January 2019. I can't possibly be doing menial jobs for another 3 years of my life, that's until my thirties. I will have wasted my entire twenties. What on earth is this transit?

So basically, I went from being heartbroken for two years to being jobless for an indefinite period of time. Might as well kill myself at this stage. I've got no value whatsoever.

I've had similar issue with transit Neptune squaring my Neptune, neptune rules my 6th house...
Transit Chiron opposing my Moon, Moon rules my MC....so Im taking this time to go back to college.

Saturn transiting 6th could create this to....

You make an excellent point!!! If there is a planet one should plan for is SATURN transits. By its very nature, it will not bring good stuff out of the blue. It will not be a time for luck. It only bring good stuff if one has planned for it ahead of time and worked very hard methodically toward it.

You have just given me probably the most valuable lesson I am to take from my Saturn transits. Do not leave anything to luck or to other people's kindness. Anything you gain will be based on your own hard work and sweat.

Unless of course Jupiter comes to the rescue, so look at where jupiter falls in your chart and in transit in relations to all of this. Jupiter did provide me with a much needed lift while I was in the midst of the Saturn drudgery.

Im sorry, I know it sucks to feel like that. When Saturn denies us stuff, it is easy to start feeling worthless. No other planet can make us feel worthless like Saturn can.

Keep your chin up. I would suggest you remove your sense of worth from the job situation. learn to feel valuable regardless of what job you have. I know it's hard but it's the only way to go and live without falling into deep depression.

Also, Jupiter will be entering your 4th house. Can you work from home? Can you move back to your mom's? Explore the possibilities brought on by Jupiter in the 4th.

You're very young. You still have your entire life ahead of you to make things better. And you will. You have nice 5th house of creativity and children. Jupiter will hit in a couple of years and it will be wonderful for you. And eventually Saturn will leave your 6th house and could possibly bring you a very serious partnership/marriage when it enters your 7th house.

ETA: One last thing you could do is use saturn in 6th to your advantage. Clean up your health and diet for instance. You will be able to follow a better diet during this type of transit. So get your body tight and slimmed.

Thanks, Belage!

I know I should stop associating my worth with the type of job I have but in today's society, that's how things are.

To be honest, a husband and children is something I have never been interested in, let alone being a housewife. I just don't understand the appeal in having such responsibilities. Family life is great for some people, but it definitely isn't for me because I don't like to be tied down. I want to have a career, that's my true love.

I went from being a straight-A student in high school, entering a prestigious college program to jobless. I wonder what happened.

The only way the 5th house could potentially materialize is through work because I am quite a creative person. I love arts and any form of artistic expression. Unfortunately, I studied law in college so it's quite hard to make a transition from law to arts whilst earning a living.

I have been working on [maybe] setting up my own company but the market I am interested in is slightly saturated and I need to redefine my plan before engaging in such pursuit. I've been attending workshops and courses about entrepreneurship.

One of the reasons why I am in a hurry to find a job is because I want to escape my mother's abuse. I moved back in when my last contract ended and I want to be out as soon as possible.

As for the diet aspect, I turned vegetarian then vegan when Saturn transited Scorpio. I've been working out regularly and sticking to this diet. I've lost a lot of weight and feel healthier. Right now, I'm just following my current regime which works fine.

^^^ You mentioned your mom's abuse so I checked out your chart again and I realized your chart ruler is in the 12th house. A tough placement. The upcoming transits of North Node and Jupiter in Virgo will force you to look more into your moon and 12th house issues and you might have to make some kind of a choice.

And yes you're much into being married because you have Saturn in 7th.

I think you misunderstood my post. I'm not into marriage at all. The thought of it gives me hives, really. I find the institution archaic and rather unappealing. I don't like children, I find them annoying.

A lot of people I know want a family life, but I want to travel, explore new cultures, work on my creative endeavors and give back to society.

As for my mother's situation, I'm thinking of cutting her off. There has to be a point where one has to move on. This the time to close that door.

this is really stupid, i'm sorry. it's a transit - not the end of the world. who cares if saturn's in your 6th house? transits manifest in different ways for everyone. just get out and try hard.

"you won't find a job because of your saturn transit! wait 2 years!" is a load of bull. astrology is a tool to HELP not fall victim to. you know how many people on this planet who have had pluto transits to their ascendant yet it hadn't bothered them because they lived very simple lives?

whether neptunes transiting your ic, or saturn is conjunct your venus, don't get depressed and think you have to put the brakes on life because astrology 'tells' you to. everyone has free will.

i used to get super excited for traditionally "good" transits and upset for upcoming "bad" ones. wanna know something? there was never a time in my life where there were no "bad" aspects being made in my transit chart. despite having saturn opposite my sun, jupiter conjunct my midheaven, saturn square mc, etc. both bad and amazing things happened simultaneously regardless of what cookie-cutter websites told me would happen.

don't look at a transit, read a description, and automatically think all of that sh*it will happen to you. you have to take your entire life and circumstances into consideration. obviously someone in syria versus a hollywood movie star will experience Jupiter conjunct midheaven differently.

a wise old soul named morty once said, "nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody's going to die, come watch tv?"

Thank you, shyberry!

This is something that crossed my mind this morning. A lot of people have Saturn transiting their 6th house and it doesn't mean they'll be forced to become blue collars. Sure, a transit can indeed make it harder to you to break into an industry when you're used to relying on luck, but it doesn't mean everyone will have to turn to dirty jobs.

I mean, Saturn will be transiting my 6th house until January 2019, I can't possibly think that I will be a sales representative or a bartender until then. I may, I have experience and two college degrees. I know it can be hard to find a job these days, but such transits don't have to be conclusive in any way.

Reading some of the comments on here somewhat disheartened me because they seemed rather pessimistic about the whole situation. I understand this is the harsh truth of such transit, but it doesn't have to be this way if you work extra hard. You never know how things may turn out. I don't want to be defeated before the transit has even started.

Thanks all!

Oppositions to the 6th house especially when Saturn is involved.

Example: Saturn in Libra squaring 6th house Lord ( in my case Mars) and opposing NN. Couldnt get a job when that transit was active. Even bigger misfortune? Saturn was transiting my 12th house. I was like in jail, broke and hopeless. A year after Saturn ended its transit through my 12th house, I got a job.

Thanks!

It's transiting my 6th house until January 2019, unfortunately ... A good chunk of my twenties, half of it.

I see that Saturn is starting out in the 6th house right now in your chart.

I think you are missing some pointers.

Yes, Saturn will be there till January 2019, but what about Mars and Jupiter?

All the other planets don't stop for Saturn!

Honestly, keep trying, keep plugging away at getting jobs, within months you'll see some progress. Remember it's a test.

If i'm right, Mars will move into your 4th house very soon and Jupiter through 4th and 5th. These are points which could change your current view of life. Mars will especially give you a refuelling, because he is in your deepest house.

Jupiter in 5th is like harvesting the crops, planted when Jupiter was in your 10th. Seeing as you say you are over-qualifed, maybe that will be in your favour then.

Please don't give up MineAgain.

Law (corporate law&finance). I wonder if I should be switching industries and pursue my artistic inspirations since my legal career is going nowhere. Or maybe prepare for the bar exam next year and therefore return to college?!

^^^Actually, Law/corporate/finances are good fields with Saturn transits. So let me revise my predictions.

Keep steadily applying for jobs in your chosen field. I anticipate you finding a good job around January 2016.

Keep in mind that Saturnian things are never easy, no matter what they look like on the outside. You may start a little it lower than you want, but you can work your way up. This job will test you in ways you are not accustomed, and you have to make sure that your health does not suffer.
