Hey there!

I'm wondering in what way a Gemini Moon can be influenced by an exact opposition to Neptune.

Does the Natal become "neptunian", and in what way?

How does that change and challenge the Gemini Moon Holder?

Thanks! <3

I think the moon's nature would be more altered by a conjunction.
With opposition it depends if you identify more with the Gem Moon or the Neptune in Sag (or is it in Cap?)
It also depends on the house the moon or neptune are in.

Thank you Soltze!

So you mean that the energies are not melted together, but one perceives them as "either / or" ..?

Like…sometimes I feel more rational and chatty, and sometimes overwhelmed and emotional?

In this case it would be a 6th house moon against a 12th house Neptune in Sag…..

I have moon opposite neptune and it gives me neptune traits like daydreaming, empathy, confused emotions and just difficulty having emotional bounderies. Unfortunately with this aspect i also attract the negative neptunian types of females that are lost, deceiptive, insecure, addicted to alcohol food etc, unreliable and weak. In my experience those you attract into your life usually tend to "play" out the outer planet in opposition aspects. I have a friend that have moon opposite pluto in her chart and she attracted me into her life and i was very controlling and posessive over her when we started hanging out but i also changed her. She definitivly played out the neptune in my opposition and i played out pluto in her opposition.

Thank you very much Dreaminess!

That's avery interesting point with the projection, I experienced this myself very much!
Sometimes I feel like I have a sign on my forehead: "Drop-In Centre for the Addicted or Emotional Unavailable"

Is this only happening with the opposition or do you project a planet onto a person also when it's square?

Dreaminess, in what sign is your Moon located?
And what did you do to prevent yourself from projecting?
How is it possible to "integrate" Neptune?

@thegrinning_cat

I have Gemini Moon in the 10th opp Neptune in Sag in the 4th-

When I started studying what is behind this aspect it helped me realize a lot about how I deal with emotions. I have very strong emotions and at the time they are happening I am aware that I am feeling something very strong, but at that moment I don't really know why I am feeling it or what is triggering the emotions I'm feeling. It's only afterwards that I can really get a sense of knowing about what exactly I was feeling and why.

For example, I'm at lunch with some friends and the conversation shifts to something that gives me a very uncomfortable feeling. I don't know why or what it is but I know I feel uncomfortable. Because I am so confused as to what I am feeling I say nothing about the way I feel to those around me. I leave the lunch feeling strange feelings but still not able to quite understand why. A few hours later (sometimes it can even be a day later) I'm on to some mundane task in a different environment and it will just hit me out of no where why and what I was feeling so upset or weird about during the lunch conversation.

It's almost like there is a timing lag in being able to understand what I am feeling sometimes. I believe this is the disorienting, confusing, and illusion of Neptune effecting my Moon.

I enjoyed Liz Greene's Neptune book. It's really thick and a lot for a cover-to-cover read but it's nice picking out pieces that you need.

Thank you, AstroAJ!

I just bought the Neptune Book by Liz Greene and it's really a huuuuuge recommendation!!

That's a very interesting point you mention - being over flooded with feelings and not able to understand them….I think it's really painful for Gemini because they tend to rationalize everything they see and feel.
And this just doesn't work out with Neptune.

What I found helpful, was the concept of Mindfulness….as an attempt to create closer connections between affects and cognition in your body.
So it's like a feedback loop between the emotionality, which is for all Neptunians like an interface with a whole atmosphere around them, and the mind that creates patterns and concepts that help you not to overidentify with the emotional flow….

At the moment, Neptune is transiting my Mercury in an exact opposition.
It's even more horrifying for a Virgo Mercury and it took me weeks to accept that I have to change my way of working and thinking.
But Mercury/Neptune can also be very enriching!

Sorry I didn't reply yet.
Yes, it can play as an either/or dynamic.
I personally hate Neptune. It's my chart ruler.
Well, I have to live with him *cringe*

@thegrinning_cat-most welcome!

Yes mindfulness does help! Whenever I'm making it a point to meditate regularly everything feels more in tune-including my Moon/Neptune feedback loop.

I've also just tried being nicer to myself about my moon/neptune mechanism. I've let people close to me know that for me I may become emotional at times and not always know why until after the fact. My boyfriend knows about this and I can just let him know that I'm feeling emotional but don't know why and as soon as I am able I will share with him what I'm feeling. Letting those around me know about it has helped them not be so confused if they sense a strong emotion coming from me that I am not verbally expressing at the time. It helps them not be so confused and and this way they know I will do my best to communicate it at a little later time.

Just one of the ways astrology has helped so much. Accepting these mechanism at work within us such as Moon/Neptune and learning to work WITH them, and maybe even try and find a way to love and appreciate them makes a huge difference

In many cases where Moon in Gemini is quick to come up with clever, witty things to say etc. This Gemini Moon will feel "less" Gemini because of how deeply they absorb things and only have a delayed response i.e "I should have said this.." or "Oh, okay now I see. This is what it all was" etc.

I would encourage these people to pick up a pen, learn to play music or write/ draw.

The imagination is usually extremely powerful and they are moved by very sensitive vibrations around them most times that are hard to explain.

They however should be careful about what atmosphere they surround themselves with and the partners they choose for relationships- as these people are likely to take advantage of their nature.

As with Moon in 3rd,Neptune in 3rd,Mercury-Neptune,these guys tend to "absorb" or internalize much of what they hear, read and see.

My Mother has Moon in Taurus/Neptune in Scorpio(don't know the houses) and I see that she tends to avoid/forget things that are unpleasant.

She only wants to surround herself with light and goodness and is always ready to forgive and forget etc.

With your Moon in 6th, the emotions could be connected to work or being useful.

One could feel that they feel emotionally satisfied once they complete a task or have something to do /planned out to accomplish during the day.

The opposition with the 12th suggests that you could enthusiastically start things and not finish.

Maybe you start by washing dishes and then drift off when you see something on TV-finding it difficult to keep at a task etc.

Does volunteer work, working with the needy/ill- even orphans and the disenfranchised appeal to you? The 12/6th both speak of "service"
