Seeing a lot of 'I have a very prominent ____ house' stuff floating around, and just clarifying for myself.

Does having the Sun or Moon in that house make it prominent? Or, having ANY major planets in a house make it prominent? If you have a planet in almost every house, does that make each house 'prominent'?

I think what makes a house prominent is having several planets in the same house. Esp several personal planets.

I have Sun, Venus, Mercury and Saturn in 11H. I would *think* this makes it a prominent house.

Edit: since LeeLoo mentioned house of chart ruler I should add that my chart ruler, Mercury, is positioned in 11H making that house even more prominent I suppose?

I agree completely.

I also think for those who don't have many planets in one house that you can use chart ruler placement, house placement of a highly aspected planet, and pullen/color chart (whichever you favor) highest ranked planet house placement.

some prominent houses:

the house of your Sun

a house with a stellium

the house of your ASC (secondary house, as Lotis White named them)

the focal point of a channeling geometric structure (which is more of an axis) example: a Kite releasing in the 2nd house will make that prominent, although we actually look at the 8th/2nd axis

the house of your chart ruler

NN/SN too, so any area of focus

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms...

Also, a planet conj an angle would probably make that house prominent.

You're welcome
