I got a request for this article. I love the requests. Please, keep them coming!
Pluto is a very strong planet. Think horseradish. However, strength can be a good thing or a not so good thing. Pluto’s strength is positive or negative, depending on how he resides in the chart. We have limited our discussion to angles, so let’s examine Pluto on each angle Pluto conjunct the Ascendant is a power position, par excellence. These are the policeman, the professors, the pilots, anyone in a leadership position who “wears it well” That is the key. Some people are in leadership positions, but are not natural leaders. This placement of Pluto is a natural leader. On the flip side, these natives may try to control too much. In these cases, they are better suited to a partner who wants a natural leader. Pluto conjunct the IC is a negative position. I know that political correctness demands that nothing is ever negative. I am not politically correct. Hence, I think some aspects are negative. Can they be used for learning and growing? Most certainly, but I don’t think anyone would WANT them, if they had the choice. Pluto conjunct the IC falls into this category. It bodes of a violent childhood. The closer to the IC, the more so. Pluto conjunct the Descendant is another negative position, in my opinion. That which conjuncts the Descendant, we seek out in another. That which conjuncts the DSC feels as if it is a lack in ourselves. Hence, it is a natural position of co-dependency, through no fault of the native. In this case, the person may look for a powerful partner, to whom she can give over her personal power. Pluto conjunct the MC is a power position, as is Pluto conjunct the Ascendant. Pluto conjunct the MC can be epitomized in Putin. I think he has this position. If he doesn’t, he exemplifies it. Like him or not, he is a natural leader. He has a keen sense of his own power and wields it with an effortless grace. That epitomizes Pluto conjunct the MC ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Great post! Thanks for sharing. My mother as Pluto conj IC and I must say that this position is or has been for her very hard. She didn't have a violent childhood but she did have very violent marriage unfortunately. Also she has transformed herself through her family and managed to have a completely different life from them. She also got divorced and her child died. So she had a full blown Pluto transformation through various family situations IP: Logged |

I'm only half acquainted with Pluto on Asc as it's in my progressed chart but I know it colors me fairly strongly! I do have a leader character but I also have a tendency to want to hide behind the scenes which confuses others as they see me as a leader :-/ My husband has, natally, Pluto on Dsc and he feels my persona as strong, he has said so, and there are times when he almost suffocates me because he desires and needs that power. I also have Mars on Asc both in natal and progressed. IP: Logged |

Pluto/asc here. Sometimes I feel unaware of it, other times not. Just recently I was very outspoken while challenging our systems at my employment. Challenging our work strategy I guess would be a better way to put it. While my boss didn't ignore me (in fact we're doing what I was suggesting and it's working beautifully), being my superior, she can't ignore me completely. But she basically did for a couple of weeks. LOL She wouldn't make eye contact or say good morning. A couple of emails she did ignore which didn't bother me. I knew she was hearing me. All is good now though. She was just getting my opinion on things yesterday. She wasn't cold or distant at all. She's Taurus, Leo moon, cancer mars, and I don't remember the others. My actions and her response just reminded me of Pluto/asc doing it's thing. If you'd be kind and not quote please. I might delete this later. IP: Logged |

I am still wondering if my Pluto 9 dgrs conjunction to Asc. is not too wide but I feel it. It's square my Sun in the 10th house. It's weird but I have always experienced people expect me to be the leader as I come across that way (??) And it is so not meant that way. People asking me:" so tell us, what should we do?" Then I am thinking:" why ask me?" They all look at me to have the answer. Even on the new job some people come to me asking me how it works when in fact they should know better because they have been there longer than I have. I can shush people by just looking at them with some strange eyebrow movement. Or with friends I had the experience everyone being passive and expecting me to make the decisions. And when I did they were blaming me for always wanting to be boss. I really don't want to. It just happens. And, they are asking for it. I am a master manipulator, using it for only good things though but I can. Also can make things happen with only changing the energy.Unfortunately it's the same at home They all listen to me and march to my drill when it's not what I had in mind. I don't mean to come across that way. I encourage everyone to be independent! IP: Logged |

You MAY feel Mars in the same way someone would feel Pluto because this is a natural leader, too.
Thanks for the report on your hubby. It makes sense.

@SvenRetro is Retro The 29th degree is the frozen degree. Hence, the expression of Pluto, personal power/the wielding of it will, likely, feel stuck. What would you like me to write about Mars? Mars on the angles? Retro Mars which is a strange one lol ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/
