I would say that i attract philosophical people and i need to be around people who share the same interests. Either that or i would lose interest.

So this could mean that one brings the external world to them i.e have many varied friendships compiled of people who have differing family/ethnic backgrounds etc.

Or going out there to the world; being social, restless and the type to dream about backpacking all over the world.

Those who are a lot more fearful about travelling(perhaps Moon/Neptune or Saturn aspects)may find comfort in reading about all these foreign places.

They may even intentionally create online friendships with people all over the world etc.

Does the ruler of your 9th aspect Venus? Or perhaps aspects of Jupiter to the ruler of the 5th/7th?

hanks for all replies.. I love people I can talk to about everything n everything. I am philosophical myself and would prefer friends n partners that can hold a true conversation and are deep thinkers.

Many of my friends are from different cultures but I have many friends overseas and am planning to study abroad next fall in a different country. I'm very excited!!

Also, I don't intentionally try and make friends online or who live far away, but I receive many friend requests from people of different countries based on same interests we have and it forms friendships

Hi Wondering.... I definitely "feel" you there. We could probably talk for hours. Besides being a chatty-friendly Sun and Mercury in Gemini, my Virgo Moon is in that 9th House (intercepted). Sextiles occur to Uranus-Jupiter in the Cancer 8th.

I have a kind of international flair, but more than that is attracting people who are into studies of the paranormal, ESP, and metaphysical studies (which I've pursued since a young teen in the mid 1960s).

I even had the opportunity to work in a scientific arena and helped to conduct an ESP Research Pilot study. So rich an experience for me!! I would give a little talk to a group of them first, then guide them taking each test. I am sensitive to subtle energies, and this was like a smorgasborg for my senses.

I've also helped people pull some published works together dealing with New Age topics.

And I went the religious route too-- helped write seven serious study guides for two lecturers at a religious college. These study guides were a compilation of my OWN notes combined with skeletal format of the teacher's notes. They were used by students who were also pastors in various parts of South Africa, The Philippines, Ireland, and other countries (is what I discovered).

I have a Sag Ascendant. Leo 9th House cusp. Jupiter (ascendant ruler) in the Cancer 8th.
Vesta-Oken, the Vertex, Uranus, and Jupiter in Cancer, with Pluto Leo e.o. the 8th.

The 9th House is the natural house of Sagittarius-- rules Publishing, and realms of Higher Consciousness too.
(I'm 60+ now, and it's fascinating how in studying my chart it fits all the things I've ever instinctually or 'accidently' journeyed myself into.)

The answer is yes, but not always.

I'm open to meeting great people from EVERYWHERE. And in MANY kinds of ways. Whether they are from my own city, from across the country, or on another continent! I don't limit myself.

I have a very diverse group of friends, acquaintances and love interests. Black, White, Indian....20's, 30's, 40's. What matters most to me is a solid intellectual connection, shared interests and a deep spiritual bond.

Where you come from is mostly irrelevant to me.

Wow, interesting! I didn’t know that Saturn aspects inclined one to fear long-distance travel. Any examples you know of?

There are a couple. But one that comes to mind is my friend who has Saturn in Libra 9th on the cusp of the 10th house.

Capricorn is his Asc too so Saturn has double emphasis.

He is weary of people from a foreign country. This despite Venus being in Aquarius. Its also in mutual reception with Sat in Lib.

Venus also widely squares Pluto. He has some very strong feelings about people from a foreign country(9th house cusp in Lib)

His feelings is that the only time he will go to a foreign country would be to study. And ONLY that.

I also noticed that Pluto's retrograde motion back into my 9th has also had me weary of leaving the country.

The reports coming in from China about racially motivated discrimination of Africans during this scourge of the virus, has had me reconsider
