In my previous post I asked what can indicate someone who is a manipulator, but now,I was curious as to what makes someone cunning and a mastermind? I think Mercury and mars should be involved. So Mars in Water Signs/Mutuable signs can indicate it? Like for example Mars in Pisces can be cunning when it comes to getting what they want, they can be very slimy and sneaky with their true intentions,(of course if they aren't weak,or have a weak chart in general),Gemini use their quick-Wit and communicative skills to get what they want? (I have Gemini MC,so I think it helps me be very tactful and on my feet when It comes to getting what I want.) Mars In Scorpio can be vengeful and direct when it comes to getting what they want. Do you agree with what I said earlier? Btw just saying I'm not saying these things mean someone is evil,it's just indicating what can POSSIBLY have a cunning mind. IP: Logged |

Manipulation is ruled by Pluto, so angular Pluto, Mercury Pluto, 3rd ruler to Pluto gives that. Traditionally, the strategist/politician of the zodiac is Libra. Capricorn is a great politician too. Mutable placements give the ability to adapt to various people, communication skills and the ability for camouflage and mimicry and other "deceptive" techniques.------------------ I seem to have loved you in numberless forms... It's interesting you're saying this. I agree with the first part: "can be cunning/manipulative", but not the second part: "to get what they want". I have Mars conjunct Neptune, sextile Pluto/SN (and Gem AC, Pisces Merc). I'm a good actress and I can be manipulative, but I've only ever done this - in situations where I felt it was "for the best"... or - for someone else's own good, like manipulating someone into quiting smoking. But I've also been reading research lately on men being (on average) more self-centred than women. So it's possible that men with Pisces Mars/Mars-Neptune/Mars in 12th - could engage in manipulative behaviour, for more selfish reasons. IP: Logged |

I'll answer for the second part of the description... Strategy. Look for air signs. Washington (oops, he's a Picses, but Merc in Aqua). Lincoln (Aquarius, as president he basically self taught on the job), Einenhower (Libra), though each was more about managing the big picture than the details. I've heard it said lots of successful generals are Gemini as well. Winfield Scott was a twin. I've personally also seen Sag be pretty good at strategy and tactical games.Honorable mention to Leo (Napoleon), Capricorn (Robert E Lee), Scorpio (Patton,Rommel) IP: Logged |

All true. One of the most manipulative people I've ever met was a libra sun, moon in Scorpio, with Mercury conjunct Pluto, and Venus and Mars in Virgo. He was the kind of person who would sniff out what other people liked and didn't like and would use it to his advantage. He would manipulate situations to effectively get what he wanted out of them. Example: he's In a band. He once wanted one of the former members out, and none of the other members would agree to it. So he got the lead singer and the guys girlfriend drunk and put them in a room together. Idk what happened, but whatever it was created enough strife that the guy left of his own accord. He manipulated me all the time when we were seeing each other regularly. I saw right through it though, so if I gave in, I knew what I was doing. I wouldn't naively fall into his traps. It had to serve me somehow. My progressed moon was exactly conjunct his natal moon in Scorpio when we met so I feel we understood each other. What's funny though is that he is so manipulative, even now I sort of think of him fondly. He knew how to sort of diffuse if he knew I could see through what he was doing, and he would charm his way out of my anger. I don't know if I want to continue seeing him but I don't see us being on bad terms. That's powerful **** right there.

As for Mars in water, I have Mars in Cancer, and I can definitely be manipulative too. I mean, I guess anyone can. But I've been known to charm my way out of situations myself. Especially if I know someone has a soft spot for me, I know exactly what to say and I won't hesitate to say it. I can also elicit sympathy from these people easily. I almost feel bad when it's too easy. I know another woman with her Mars exactly conjunct mine in cancer. Biggest ***** I ever met, and the most manipulative, evil person I know. We also both have hard Venus/Pluto aspects. Her chart is actually very similar to mine and I totally hate her lol. That's for another thread though. IP: Logged |

This sounds so much like me, what with my 3H Libra Pluto trine Mercury, Capricorn sun, mutable t-square and....uhhhh...what else do I need? What? Hmmmm... Oh! *Communication skills, baby* Yeah I'm all about that. --- And I'm joking here of course. Truthfully I don't think of myself as any kind of mastermind, but my 8H Pisces moon may do some "wheeling and dealing" subconsciously with impressive tactical results...but I wouldn't know for sure if it's me or blind luck. What happens in the subconscious stays in the subconscious. IP: Logged |

Saturn or Pluto trining or sextiling personal planets like sun, moon, venus, mars, mercury. Sometimes conjunction can do that too, esp Saturn Venus conjunction. Saturn conjuncts the other planets, not so much. IP: Logged | |
