Wondering if anyone experiences this problem with Astrodienst:I noticed the other day that when I post my details (correctly - I've double checked), to my astro at astrodienst, I get a completely different daily personal horoscope than I do on another device (with exactly the same details). Not a big deal, because I take the personal daily reports with a grain of salt, but it also slightly alters placements in my charts. What is a little weird is I also noticed that when I plugged in the same (correct) info into my computer to try to run a Davison Report (was curious), I noticed the following: When putting in my info for myself and my boyfriend to see what it would come up with the other day, we got a 5th house Sun and stellium (we have a 1st house sun/ stellium in our composite). THEN when I went to run the Davison again the next day to check out an aspect I'd read about, it put our sun in the 6th house this time. I hadn't changed a single thing about our details in my astro. Is this how the Davison works? (Changes position based on today's date or something?) I know literally nothing about Davison haha. Still, I'm mostly concerned that astro is glitchy in how it runs our reports in general? Just wondering what peoples' experiences have been out there, and if you prefer a different platform to run your details from. IP: Logged |

It seems there are actually a few variances from source to source.. Which is kind of bothersome. The main thing that I know of that tends to change is usually the angles though. What changed in your chart? IP: Logged |

Yeah it was angles - more like degrees, like a conjunction in the first report was NOT a conjunction in the next when I ran it again, which is kind of big. I wonder too if it's the location I am posting from? For instance, when I first plugged in my astro data from one device (my phone), I was in the states. Then when I posted it from my computer to get a bigger picture, I was in Europe. But, I made sure the daily report was the same date for each device... and all my personal details are exactly the same in each. But maybe it's that? Still, I don't see how that would change my information if nothing has changed about TOB, location, etc. from my birth data.... WEIRDNESSSSSS! IP: Logged |

Wait.. Did it change the actual degrees, or the aspects it showed?Because, certain systems use different 'orbs'.. IP: Logged |

WEll it was the same system - using astro.com on my phone gave me one chart with certain orbs, then when I checked on my laptop (the same data, pulling up the same kind of chart), it gave me slightly different orbs. I can't actually recall specifics haha. I just noticed a shift. And it also gave me a different daily report (like.. one report said "awesome day," essentially, the other said "Today will be challenging". hahaha) Not a big deal, but just kind of annoying. Ah..I see. Well, usually, when you use astrodienst for the horoscope, there are many different transits it lists. If you don't have a membership, it only shows you one of those transits. Except, on Thursdays. On Thursdays, you can choose which one you want to look at. Now, if you accessed them from different accounts, even with the same birth data, it could pop up with a horoscope for a different transit in each one. Now.. I'm sure there is a chance this happens sometimes even when you are using the same account. I'm not sure if all of that made sense or not.. (Not sure I worded it well..) but.. I hope that may have helped clear that up a bit.. IP: Logged |

OHHHHHHH, I didn't realize it might emphasize a diff. transit for daily horoscopes. THAT does make sense, seeing as on one device (my laptop), I am a registered user, and on my phone (which just saved the 'my astro' data) I am not.
So, what about the Davison report? That one really confuses me because that was just me logging in from the same device the day after I first checked that report (having not changed a single thing), and getting a totally different formation ? Is that how Davison works somehow? IP: Logged | |
