I know someone who has Venus in the 9th house. Does that mean the person will surely marry someone from a different country? IP: Logged |

I think it can mean lots of things 'foreign.' In my opinion, yes, it can mean meeting someone from a different country and marrying them, or it can mean winding up with someone who has a very different culture from you, or whatever you consider 'Foreign.' IP: Logged |

It's not that simplistic, generally. That's like saying someone with Venus in the 3rd house will marry their next door neighbour or someone from in their "community" - not always. The house your Venus falls in can represent some of the qualities you look for representative of that particular house. 9th house is the house of Sagittarius naturally so yes, that could mean you are attracted to someone from a different country or culture but could also mean someone who thinks "big" or is very philosophical or spiritual in nature. Someone who is a little daring or not afraid to take risks. Someone adventurous who maybe loves to travel or try new experiences. Someone outgoing or jovial. These traits are then modified by whatever sign your particular Venus is in.IP: Logged |

I have a Venus in the 9th house and I prefer men who are foreigners to me I do also live in the different country then where I was born so that makes it easier lol But I know a girl who has a Venus in the 9th house and she is with the guy who is from the same city as her, but he is very different than her. Venus in 9th enjoys philosophy, reading, possibly travel. Hence the chances of marrying someone foreign increase. But that's just the chanceIP: Logged |

I have it, too. We are attracted to different cultures. I love to try different kinds of foods from all over the world. I am open to new ideas. I think it makes us very open minded, which I like ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

The guy I know who has Venus in the 9th house does travel a lot. It's part of his career. He was born in the West Indies but he lives in NY and I was born the United States. So that would be considered different countries. We aren't in a relationship though but he's a friend. IP: Logged |

No. I have Venus in the 9th house and married someone from my own country. However, I did move 2200 miles (from Texas to Oregon) to find her. ------------------ The Declinations Guy Complete Rising Sign Descriptions Expert Rectification IP: Logged |

I have a 9th house Venus and yeah, not married, never been involved with someone from another country and don't see that likely to happen. I do attract people from other countries, but usually in an educational/teaching or otherwise intellectual fashion, and not romantic. For example, when I worked as a tutor at my uni, foreign students often preferred me to other the tutors. I've had many foreign-born friends over the years. Also I have on a number of occasions had expats or visitors from other countries approach me in grocery stores and whatnot, to ask for assistance. IP: Logged |

I remember thinking when I was in my young 20s how I was going to marry from a different country, not an American. I've dated Americans of course but my last two boyfriends have been Bolivian. It was only until recently when I got into astrology that I realized what my Venus in 9th meant, and I laughed at how accurate it was. I don't think it necessarily is a 100% guarantee that you will definitely marry someone from another country/culture. But you might be attracted to other cultures somehow. IP: Logged |

Yessss, this is exactly what I'm attracted to! And Jupiter is conjunct my descendant as well... so I guess I'm doubly attracted to these qualities :-p
