Generally speaking, both are responsible and take life seriously.

The square person tends to feel more insecure and can lean towards depression and defeatism more easily than the trine person, who is usually more stable and consistent overall (in their moods and behavior).

As a Sun sq. Saturn person I often find that Sun trine Saturn people have poise, a sense of groundedness that I often feel I lack, and that makes them attractive to me. They see life in a similar way (unless other factors seriously mitigate things) and there's a sort of "I got your back" feeling to the interaction.

Interesting! So Sun trine Saturn doesn't experience depression as easily? Does the trine keep their confidence more intact than a square aspect? I had thought Saturn brings insecurity no matter what aspect it makes, but that a trine aspect would make it easier to hide maybe.

Hmm, I can't tell for sure, but I would definitely think so, Hanna. A trine is a flowing aspect, its nature is different from a hard aspect.

Of course it is possible that Sun trine Saturn people get depressed and feel "the weight of the world" on their shoulders, but I believe they can carry on with their life more easily; whereas a square makes it very hard to motivate yourself to do the same. The level of intensity isn't the same, and hence the struggle isn't exactly the same.

Things to think about. Thanks Doux
