Topic: Long-term job stability??

Hi everyone!So I have a question. In my birthchart I have Aquarius on my 6th & 7th house cusp. I find that I don't stay in jobs very long with my longest stay at a job being 2 yrs. Usually I'll either quit, or get laid off/fired. The reason why I'm bringing this up now is that I just obtained a good government job with good pay. It's one of those jobs where you have people who stay there for yrs ( I mean very stable). I mean is it possible for someone with a 6th house cusp ruled by the planet of shock and surprise stay in a job for longer than say 2 yrs or more? Anyone with their 6th house cusp in Aquarius who has held a job longer than 2 yrs or more? I'm just really wanting some job stability especially after being unemployed for the last 2 almost 3 yrs. Btw my midheaven is in Taurus and my sun is in Taurus in the 9th house (government!!) IP: Logged |

I'm not sure about the cusps, but a Bull can dig their heels (hooves?) in better than just about any sign I know. Leo rising ain't bad either, until they decide they've had enough and they wish to move on.IP: Logged |

OMG--I never thought about looking at my 7th House cusp--I too have Aqua there and have the SAME issue! Taurus is my MC as well.I wonder if Aqua there means that--I also have trouble staying relationships--I'm very commitment phobic. IP: Logged |

We have the same problem.
My Uranus is in the 10th conjunct MC. I mostly get extremely bored and start looking for another job, or i'll only get temp jobs. I crave stability. You seem to have a nice thing going, good luck! IP: Logged |

It certainly means that your relationships possibly have sudden starts & sudden endings. It's also a matter of what aspects Uranus is making to other planets in your chart. I have a trine to Venus & for me that means those types of Uranian relationships flow easily for me. I'm not a commitment phobe, but I do like a certain amt of space & autonomy in my partnerships.

Now see that's how I got fired from my last job. I was in the same dept for 2yrs..got bored. Transferred to a new one, but then didn't like it & couldn't move for 6 months, was a horrible dept started dreading coming to work, my performance suffered & sure enough got the axe. Now see if I had just stayed where I was & just dealt with the boredom I'd probably still be there now. But then again this new opportunity wouldn't have happened, albeit 2 yrs later lol. I think the lesson to learn with this 6th house cusp is learning how to stay put & not just fleeing when things become uninteresting or stagnant. IP: Logged |

You have to look at your whole chart. Plenty of Aqua 6th house ppl maintain long term jobs. But it has to be a place that you can maintain your freedom or individuality or your unique environment. Aquarius is a fixed sign. It doesn't like changes as much as people claim.IP: Logged |

Look what I found here though, some information about Aquarius on the 6th house cusp:The Aquarian influence in the sixth house promises that promises a good deal of originality will be sought in the work environment. I can relate to what it says for that sign.

Yeah, don't worry. I got Uranus as ruler of 6th and I have been working at the same school since the year 2000. I have done different things though and twice went to school to get degrees. The school I work at is very big. We have thousand/two thousand students and I have about 550 colleagues. I also need variety and freedom to do my thing. Above all I need intellectual conversations. I have Gemini MC with Mercury conjunct. Uranus is trine my Moon and Moon is trine MC and Mercury. Before 2000 I always had short lived jobs also because I didn't like to be stuck in a rut. My sister has Uranus conjunct MC. 6th house is ruled by Venus and her Venus is trine Saturn. She works at a pop music venue since 1988. She has done a lot of things one of which is DJing and organising retro or soul food parties.  I think she will never leave that place. Your Uranus is trine Venus, rulers of 10th and sixth.
