Being that my Rising is in Aquarius and my 1st house is in Pisces. Can someone explain exactly how this affects my personality? Theres a little 2nd house in there as well, so what does this mean to have 2 houses in one sign? Also, how does this play out in synastry?

Some people don't believe in intercepted signs i.e a house that has two rulers etc.

I personally tend to treat the Asc/Dsc, Mc/Ic as "planets".

So I consider the 1st house to be where the Asc sign starts and ends, but consider the actual Asc point to be the sensitive area/point i,e

In your case I would consider Ac Aqua at 9 Degrees to be the sensitive point.

So when any planet enters Aquarius, it enters your 1st house(whole sign). But when it interacts with your Asc point, its like it is meeting up with the "King" of that 1st house etc.

So say Mars is at 0 Degrees of Aquarius, you may feel a change of energy/shift from serious Cap to inventive Aqua.

But this energy is more from a "knowing" or "hard to describe" level and is very much intuitive.

When it hits your Asc angle by conjunction, the impact is felt.

When Mars hits your Asc angle, you may be intent on expressing/defending your far-out ideas to people who question them.

You may even initiate(Mars) an image change(Asc)that involves something risque and rebellious(Aqua)- getting hitched, getting a tattoo on your face etc.

I actually treat the angles in the same exact way (as unique planets/energy points). I would even say that they are more important for me than anything else.

So if someones planet is in pisces it woulndt be felt in a first house way? I'm used to going by the whole house system, but I'm looking more into placidius
