How come Cancers/Capricorns Tend to get along well?

For example,I have a Capricorn Sun and Cancer Moon (I have a moon/Saturn sextile so it does not make me emotional nor moody)
And a friend of mynes have a Cancer Sun and Capricorn moon (he has the trine),and we both were best friends, literally we would have this vision of having success/being in high positions, and having success in general,we both have sarcastic humor and we tend to understand the way we joke around.

Honestly what's the difference/similarities between these signs?

To be honest with you I do not I repeat I do not get along well with the sign cancer WHEN and IF it's opposing my sun under 4 degrees good lord Trust me I will feel so stifled and claustrophobic, 2. If your cancer sun or cancer moon or cancer Mercury, venus, or Mars squares or opposes any of my Cardinal sun, moon,Mercury, or Mars we got problems and cancer does get sensitive and touchy and im so sorry. But if you cobjunxt my southnnode it's a nice feeling but after a while my moon in aries will get annoyed and turn nasty trust me it's not pretty. But I have nothing against them!!!! I respect cancer so muuuuuch!!!! It's just cancer is not compatible with me if the aspects are close in orb.

I honestly think could be the reason why you love cancer is cause your moon is in cancer and the moon to me is very important.

Oddly enough I get along with friends that have Moon/Mars in Aries as well,it's just they are so honest and straightfoward,it really does let me get along with them quite well. The moon in cancer does make me emotional, but I really don't show it to people,I'm very serious and cold on the outside (Virgo AS helps this) but Cancer is still a Cardinal sign,so they would technically have this defense mechanism within themselves.

Yes I can get along with cancers IF they do not oppose my sun like I had said before in ORB. My father is a cancer sun and I have the worst relationship with him he has dominant cancer characteristics in his birth chart and I am dominantly capricorn im a triple capricorn and unfornately have not had luck with cancers I had 2 friends with sun in cancer and it was not promising. Most of my best friends are sun in aries especially if it conjuncts my moon in Aries within 3 degree orb. My girlfriend is an aries and both of my ex's were gemini and aquarius and my best friend is a leo, aries and a scorpio.

There is one thing to get along then to actually live with the person. I can certainly get along with any sign of the zodiac but im not here to create acuantences. Im here to create lasting deep intimate compatible relationships and cancer is just not one of them. I have lost my connection with my father emotionally and we are not in the same page he doesn't understand my dominant capricorn personality and I don't understand his either.

My whole chart is masculine the only feminine placement I have is my ASC.

I don't do well with cancer placements, especially the moon. Heh no. If the interaction is strictly business/professional then it's usually fine. But again, in a professional setting, I pretty much can make do with anyone lol.

I'm not really into the way they express their emotions/love/care. I used to think it was because I was uncomfortable with intense displays. But eventually I came to the conclusion that if I had to choose, I'd prefer blow-ups - something jarring and/or harsh, rather than the heavy weeping cloud type.

They're usually soft and quite loyal (I don't think I've ever been fked over by a cancer lol). While I don't particularly mind that, they expect me to be "soft" to them. And while I can do soft, it's not in my nature to be like that all the time. So in the end, often I find them demanding/draining, they find me unrelenting. Most of the time the "friendships" starts from workplace interactions. And that's why they often are shocked once they get to know me better. Me at work and me in my personal life are very different.

THe way they solve issues/problems..etc... is sort of different too. Usually they sort out the emotional part first, then move on to the practical. I do the reverse - practical first, emotion later - it's a luxury.

With cancer friends, often I keep contact to a bare minimum. If they need help with something I'd lend a hand, but other than that I don't hang out or spend leisure time with them. It's better for me and for them that way.

I do Agree on you with that, though Cancer/moon placements, they do tend to be emotional.also personally they do make really good businessmen, they make their companies as their "home" and do whatever it takes to protect it,but that is just my opinion. Btw the cancer friend I was talking about has a Sun,Mercury, and Mars in Cancer,While I have Capricorn Sun,Aquarius Mercury and Pisces Mars.

I never really liked how emotional he would get when someone jokes about him, then again neither did I.

He does get moody like I do,but usually we knew how to handle each other, which is I guess why we got along so well.

Woah, Angel I know we've talked about having similar traits before but my dad is a cancer sun (cancer dom as well) and as I've stated before our relationship is strained at best. Our emotional relationship is just way too messed up, in a way though I think he takes advantage of my cap dom self. Like he knows how much family, commitment and responsibility mean to me. He would purposefully give me taxing things to do that he wouldn't others because I feel he thought I could handle it. Did you ever feel like your dad took advantage of your personality too?

Im a Capricorn and I have so many Cancer people in my life it is unreal! Four very close friends, my mom, my ex, etc...also tend to attract Cancer ASC and Venus.

I dont know what it is. We just like each other. I always chalked it up to the fact that we are opposites so we each have what the other lacks..two parts to the whole..we fit, complement, yada yada. It just feels like home with them for me.

I've been involved with two Capricorn blokes, both with their suns within a 4* opposition of mine, and both times it's been the emotional equivalent of being rugby-tackled off the path out of the blue by somebody large. Very intense and overwhelming connections.

Neither ended particularly well (when they ended at all... which they don't... which is worse), though, so probably not very mutual.

Friend-wise, I don't have a lot of Cap Sun friends, but a lot of them have a Cap Moon and I seem to get on very well with those. They tend to be very practical and sensible and those are qualities that I value, being in short supply myself.

I know a cap-cancer married couple. They are... different. I guess. The cap woman makes her husband do everything for her and she nags him like crazy but I get the sense that the caner has the final say in important things... at least form my perspective. But they love eachother.

I am a cancer moon and I am really really really drawn to people with cap placements. I dont know what it is about them. It's that whole "tough and cold on the outside with a soft heart buried deep inside that no one will ever see, maybe not even me" thing.

I agree with muddy about not being able (or wanting to) reciprocate Cancers' "softness"; and ditto to what angel said about the orb of opposition. I've had much more trouble, intensity, and drama with Cancer suns that oppose mine.

---

So here's my opinion~

Both signs are quite emotional. However:

Cancer wants to express what they feel, even messy and controversial emotions. They can go into detail about all of it, and they may have to consciously remind themselves to keep their filters on.

Capricorn does not usually care to express what they feel, especially not the messy stuff, which they don't want to touch with a ten-foot pole, much less communicate about. So Cap has to consciously remind themselves to be more in touch with what they are feeling, and more transparent for others' sake.

Cancer has to work to keep the filters shut, Cap has to work to keep them open.

At best, Capricorn enjoys and learns from Cancer's emotional openness and fluency, while Cancer enjoys and learns from Caps' ability to control and even disconnect from their emotions ~ demonstrating that we are more than what we feel.

That basically sums up my Cancer Sun-Leo Moon Sister and her Capri Sun -Libra Moon husband. I think they have the added benefit of their moons also being complimentary

Omg yes!!!! Both of my parents are cancer Suns. I understand where your coming from and wow we do have a lot similar in our charts hehe! Sorry I just saw your message now which is why im replying now :/

Yes he took advatage of my freedom in some ways by making me go to school so I can live in the house with him and my mom they don't want me to leave the house. He also abused me physically and emotionally as well til I was 18. We got into so many fights in my chold hood our egos and his clingy "family" oriented attitude bugged the crap out of me.

I have a Cancer moon and so far get along with the Cap moons that I have met. They have only been females so far, so I don't know how it would be with a man.
