My best friend of 11 years and a man I'd consider a best friend for 5 years are and we get along super well!He and I have dated for 3 years, though two months ago I broke it off for the second time. I struggle with communicating effectively, and I failed to allow us to be romantic/passionate, rather went with the "best friend" vibe. I regret this, but that's not what my question is for (thought if you want to add advice, it's welcomed).
I admit I'm still new to astrology, so what exactly makes them click?

Just generically its the SEXTILE,
Some astrologers have jokingly said there is no sex without a sextile or 2. There is often truth in the joke.
Between signs, Venus to moon or mars or sun in sextiles each way between two people are common elements of good relations. The harmony
of 3 and the duality of 2,, 3x2 can equal sex.lol------------------

Taurus ruled by Venus
Cancer ruled by MoonIn traditional astrology, the Day ruler for Water signs is Venus and the Day ruler for Earth signs is Venus. The Night ruler for Earth signs is Moon. Moon in Taurus is exalted. Taurus, bulls, cows, bovine related to the crescent moon, the milky way, the moon, nurturing -- there is close ties to Bovines and the Moon in mythology. The Bull likes to meander and do its own thing until you start messing with its comfort and space. The same with Cancer, Cancers like to flow and go through life on their own terms, but home invasion is not taken lightly... A vibration of Moon/Venus energy. Cancer helps Taurus open up more and vice versa, and take all the creative ruminations and turn them into something imaginary, creative, mechanical, business etc. Cancer is an imaginary and creative sign and with Taurus natural affinity to the Arts/Venusian things this works well. Both are genius in all types of businesses/start-ups. They also tend to like nice surroundings and environments, exploring the world together relaxes both of them. Taurus and Cancer are slow burning signs. They burn slow, the passions (no matter what it is) can be strong but they are cautious and studious on "fallout". Tauruses and Cancers don't like fallout, they need to know that they always have a way out of something that fails -- security is paramount. The more these 2 signs age the more they become rock-solid in experience and strong. Taurus and Cancer can have much gravitas depending on the chart. They never take things lightly, even though they may not react, the gears have started up inside them the moment they sense something is not right. Both signs are barometers. Both are the first signs in the Earth and Water triplicity -- these 2 signs seed growth, sustainability and can be extremely productive. Both signs build on the past and seed for the future -- they both like to prepare for the present and future. Both are the backbones of the other Earth and Water signs.

@Comatoes That was so insightful  As a Cancer Moon,I think that the reason I get on with most Taurus Moon is because we tend to have a very similar approach to emotional things. They tend to want to keep things stable(emotionally)and avoid emotional outbursts or sweeping reactions(unless Scorpio/Aries/Cancer is involved in the chart). I really do want to mimic that, but there are so many emotional triggers at times that my river does not stay still. Most times I think they can stand my mood swings and even bring me out of them. I find their touch sensitive enough not to be abrasive or condescending.
Taurus Moon: Hey buddy. How are you doing?
Cancer moon: Not good. Finances are troubling. Taurus Moon: Wanna get away from it all a little while? Join me and some buddies for drinks? Cancer Moon: Neh, I think I just might be a wet blanket. Taurus: LOL. I get you. But the invitation stays open. Tell me if you change your mind. Cancer Moon: Sure thing. Thanks! Taurus: No problem bud. Any time.
So yeah, it goes on like this for a while. With all the Taurus Moon people I get to know, this ends up happening: We treat each other with kid gloves 
And yes, I can read their every Mood(even what is unspoken). And can easily anticipate how they'll respond i.e what is likely to make them uncomfortable and/or happy etc. IP: Logged |

Thank you Aries23Degrees, that is exactly how I see it with the Taurus and Cancer Moon conversation you wrote, even I felt how relaxed and not demanding this energy is by how you expressed it in your post. I think Taurus can understand Cancer mood swings because they tend to take things as they are on a emotional level, not into making people "behave" in a certain way just to be friends with them, can be accepting of other people's moods.Sometimes you just want to be around people who accept all your flaws and still want to be around you the next day, without making a big deal out of it. Acceptance and not expectations makes for a smooth relationship. I always like reading your postings when I catch them. Great stuff always. IP: Logged | |
