What do you resonate with more?

For example, do you believe having ones Moon in the 3rd house gives them more Gemini qualities than someone just having their Moon in Gemini itself?

And focus now on social and generational planets in a particular sign and house.

I think it's always a blend. But the house is very important, since a slight change of birth time can change the house a planet is in if near a cusp ;-)

Always felt like the house brings the energy out more than the sign does. Signs are actually determined by the houses so i feel like the house makes it much more natural for that person. Especially regarding the 4 angular points..

Plus they all connect with each other (rulers and etc..)

The Gemini qualities are there with someone who has the Moon in 3rd house.

But once gain, the sign energy is crucial as to how they "express" it for others to acknowledge.

If the Moon is in Cap and in the 3rd, the person is likely to be more morose, serious and reflective,

The vibrant, airy nature that you often get with Gemini, will not be seen here.

However, this individual may have a knack for writing with cutting sarcasm, dry wit or expressing their emotions in a definitive, authoritative way etc(Saturn rules the house). And this ability with written/spoken words is associated with Gemini.

A Gemini Moon with their Moon in 10th will have Capricorn traits i.e the emotional need to make themselves a career or improve their status in some way.

But given the lunar nature is in Gemini in the 10th, choosing an appropriate career may take a while.

Also,it is likely that the public may see someone very changeable and moody;chatty one minute and then snappy and withdrawn the next.

The individual may have a knack for communicating and expressing themselves in a public forum.

But it is also likely that this talent will need to be developed and honed- as accompanying the Gemini Moon position is the tendency for one to be nervous, attracted to gossip, inconstant and fidgety.

And once sitting on the 10th house cusp, the public gets to see it too.

This could help/hinder the career aspirations- depending on what they want to do with their reputation.

The 11th house will resonate with you very easily and will trigger your emotions/needs. But you will feel it in a way that involves creativity and warmth.

You'll have an emotional need to do good in the world and have lots of friends, but you need to be the noticeable one and be in the center of it all lol

However, now that I think of the impact of certain Houses, I would say that you really can't answer this question lol imo

Houses, much more personal with a accurate birth time. I can only refer to myself, but my Cancer Sun acts quite differently than I read in books. My 12th house Sun explains 65% of it, the rest to aspects, the sign itself, decan, degree, duad, dwad.

I don't personally resonate with cookbook sign/Sun astrology, it never explains me at all. Only way I get a somewhat accurate reading is when I read Pisces, Gemini, Cancer Sun sign. May have to do with my intercepted Sun as well. Not saying I don't have Cancer traits, because I do, they are more "muted" which is what 12th house does to a sign.

Generational planets, Chiron etc. delineate better by house. A Neptune in Sagittarius is just that, you have to look to the house on how it plays out for each individual.

This.

In my view, you can't separate the two, it's not an "either/or" thing, you just blend the two. The sign is crucial, don't be fooled. It doesn't matter what house the planet is, the sign will always be there... But the house itself is also crucial. And the aspects. Basically, everything, lol. A nice little Mojito mix we got there...

Your sign is what you bring to the table. Your talents. Your style. Your gifts. The house is where you are most comfortable or most ready to apply those things.

Gemini Sun in 8th house. Come into my home and you'll see the books, the movies, the games, the gadgets. You would have no doubt you were in the house of a Gemini. But which books? You would find books on history. On politics, strategy, geography, even economics, because history is made up of all those things. Books on religion and philosophy (NN in 9th) and lots of science fiction (Leo Moon... Leos love SF. It lets us dream). You would see multiple versions of Trivial Pursuit because people keep gifting them to me and I'm good at them, but the ones worn out from overuse are Kingmaker, Illuminati and Rail Baron.

On line you would see I spend far more time on this site than Facebook. I find 99% of FB content mind numbing. Not very Gemini of me. The most likely thing on my TV is my Steelers (I'm such a "homer", but you would more likely find a news program than you would reality TV. Kardashians or Honey Boo Boo would probably send me into convulsions, and the average 21st century sit-com into a coma. Not terribly Gemini like I imagine.

Career wise... Not the public spokesman or sales person you would expect. No doubt those skills get applied as a computer consultant. But I get paid to solve other peoples problems and the way I do so is with computers. That's Gemini in the 8th.

I think the Houses represent the area of our life and the signs show how we deal with them.

But I think this is an interesting discussion. Probably if you have your Moon in Capricorn for example, in the 3rd house, you might act like Gemini, being very communicative, charming, a bit scattered... But the way in which you express this is in the way a Capricorn would -more seriously than a Gemini would?

So this is interesting to me because so far I haven't learned to read a chart in this way.

Ex. I've got a loaded 4th house Sagittarius stellium (venus mercury neptune sun). I would give all those planets the characteristics of Sag, not Cancer. I've always thought the house placement only stood for where/how planetary energies play out in your life. All my 4th house planets would take on Sag characteristics and play out in relation to "home" (could be a literal or figurative translation of what home is to me). But it has never occurred to, or been suggested to apply Cancer characteristics to my 4th house Sagittarius planets.

I'm not saying one will "act" like the sign the house represents, but they will own and inherit all of their qualities. Your Sag in the 4th house (which is your IC) will relate to you very deeply and personally. You use your Sag energy to nurture and to bring out those 4th house qualities which belongs to Cancer. Catch my drift?

Its like you're expressing and experiencing the energy of Cancer in a Sagittarian way..

Everyone said good things!

I have come to the conclusion that houses are very very much felt. They are of equal importance. I used to think differently.

My husband is a Gemini but it's conjunct Saturn *thé most felt aspect if you ask me* AND in the 12th house. Hardly any real Gemini cookbook there until you watch closely. It's so hidden. He is good in trades, selling, buying but he is just not the typical Gemini AT ALL! I am more a Gemini than he is with my Mercury in Gemini. I go too fast for him and always see possibilities, he is slow and laid back. He is very Saturnian as well. Doesn't go well with me. He sees what should not, cannot and may not ... Combination of house, sign and aspect.

I have hardly any planet in fire except Venus (and some asteroids and Chiron in Aries) but my 1st, 5th and 9th are occupied with Uranus/Pluto > Moon and Saturn. I am very fiery maybe more fiery than other fire signs.

A friend of mine has his Sun in Aries and Mercury in taurus in 3rd which makes him like to talk, talk, talk and write and think. Which makes him very compatible to me as we both love these things. He has nothing in Gemini.

The ruler of my ASC (Virgo) is Mercury which in my chart is in Leo. My sun sign is also Leo. So thats a double Leo, but I feel nothing like a Leo, those were one of the reasons why I got into astrology.
Until that I discovered I have both Mercury and Sun in the 12th house which gives them Piscis energy. I remember being a child and feeling Piscis like a sign so far away from me, thinking "piscis is a very rare sign nobody I know has it as their sun sign"
After reading more about the 12 and Piscis ans also Virgo it all made sense to me. So I believe I do have some Leo traits, like I can be very dramatic and my dream has always been to be an artist amd dance and sing, but Piscis is really strong in me.
So i believe both aspects are important. Maybe the house is what you first see and the sign comes later when knowing a person.

Yes, both are very important. I don't think the house is something that is necessarily "seen" though (unless we are talking angles which is a different story). I think your 12th house is based on how you experience life in that particular area, while your Leo is what helps influence how that house is being experienced.

You feel like a pisces because your Sun is in Pisces energy. But Leo is influencing that energy in a Leoine way.

You may be very self-expressive in regards to spiritual and foreign matters

I don't mean to be ridiculous but I truly don't know what the "Gemini qualities" are.

Gemini and 3rd house is associated with communication, learning new things, mental stimulation, and processing information while sharing it with others. You may have an emotional need for these things so knowing what else is going on in your chart is highly considered..

Venus in 3rd house makes you a social butterfly OR you just may have a love for learning new things. You may be a creative writer/speaker and Capricorn will help you put some depth and "duty" into what that means for you.

But the rest of your chart is still considered
