I don't consider myself an intimidating person. I'm not very demanding and I consider myself pretty down-to-earth. But a lot of times I feel lonely because it feels like people are avoiding me. Of if I'm working on a group project, people just won't talk to me, and just agree to whatever I say without questioning. It's frustrating because I want to have a dialogue so they can point out any flaws in my ideas.

People have told me the reason for this is because I am "intimidating" to be around. Close friends have told me that I am easy to talk to once they get to know me, but on the outside I seem too "intense," especially (apparently) when I make eye contact too long. (I have Asperger's so understanding eye contact is a little hard for me.) Once I was frustrated on a group project and asked the teacher to arbitrate; the other members said that they didn't pitch in any ideas because they just felt "compelled" to do whatever I said.

I'm sure there's some application to this, but I also think it's impeding my social life. Is there a way to "tone it down" a little?

The 12th house is what people cannot see about you. So I don't think this the reason they think you are intimidating.

I understand you. However what makes you think it's your Pluto in the 12th? I have Pluto in the 11th but I have Scorpio Rising, Pluto rules my ASC and Scorpio Sun. I don't come across intimidating but I think I appear aloof and cold. I am extremely reserved and quiet and yes I think it's time for me to accept I come across a bit intense but I don't think it's my Scorpio as I once thought. One of my girlfriends is Scorpio Sun Scorpio Moon and she makes friends wherever she goes, she's bubbly. I am studying at a school with four other students in my program and I notice they joke and stuff but I come in the room they quiet down. I can tell they are a bit uncomfortable around me. You are who you are. You shouldn't try to change. But I am probably WAY older than you, so I have lived a bit and I know from experience changing who you are won't make you happy. But I do admit I wish I was a bit more extroverted but in the end I like who I am.
Maybe it's your aspergers that people don't understand.
Post your chart!

I would say it would be the water void more than this.

The 12th house Pluto suppresses his primal passions, rather than shows them directly.

Maybe its your Saturn trine ASC and opposite MC. I think Saturn energy can come across as 'too serious'.

Thanks for the help. What does 12th house Pluto mean to you then?

That is NOT really a 12 house Pluto at 6* above asc.in 1rst house sign
Furthermore Jupiter is halfsquare Pluto,
power hungry much,,well folk may see it that way.
and that Jupiter squares nodes near\Mars and Saturn midpoint IN ARIES.
Also maybe u should check Pluto and ascendant in declination.

You are almost certainly Scorpio rising, not Sagittarius rising. The rounded 10 PM time is suspect even if it appears on a document and should not be relied on as gospel truth. This adjustment of the Asc is a common necessity, almost entirely overlooked by astrologers, especially pop astrologers without rectification skill or understanding of the birth process. You can read about it in full at my blog linked below.

"Intensity" is a keyword for Scorpio and/or Pluto, and most definitely not attributable to a 'water void'. The intensity others feel from you that you do not intentionally enact, not feeling "intimidating", comes from a natural mode of expression which does not match the chart you have provided, since it shows little Plutonian signature (only opposite Mercury).

"Compelled" is another keyword for the Plutonian principle. Fixed gaze is also a feature of the Scorpio rising and/or Plutonian personality (or other planets/signs of fixity when emphasized).

Furthermore, your moniker here, deepseastar, is itself further indicative of water and depth in your identity, i.e., Pluto/Scorpio.

In addition, Moon is parallel Pluto in your chart (7-8 south), adding to the quality of intensity and strength.

So the 12th house has nothing to do with this. It is Pluto/Scorpio/Asc/Moon.

I am very confident in the 10:00 PM birth time, since it's backed up by other sources besides the birth certificate. My mother likes to say it's the last time I was ever on time for anything.

Yeah I don't buy it myself, 20 minutes or more in Birth time error,NAH.
I have my mars basically 10 degrees above ascendant. I could read 12 and 1rst house mars interpretations from 10 or more different astrologers and it is a mix.
Your Pluto may rule sign on 12 house cusp
but its proximity to 1rst house people feel THAT.

I think your Pluto conjunct ASC can be responsible for this but you don't have any negative aspects to Pluto so that means you affect people in a positive way. Also Jupiter your chart ruler is in a cardinal sign square the Moon in the 10th house. The 10th house represents authority. I see all this as positive influence.
