I was wondering because I was reading about mutables on here and it said they go with the flow and will conform for the greater good.

I usually go with the flow, but my Mars conjunct Saturn in Taurus, and my opposition between Sun and Pluto gave me some kind of determination in some aspects...

I'm not a pushover in the sense that people can do whatever to me and I won't stand up for myself. Do people try to walk all over me? Yeah, they do, and sometimes it's hard to get them to take my anger about that seriously. I especially have that problem with my family.

But with friends--well, many of my friends respect me because of what they'd call my "steely" character. I can be very tough, to the point of being scary.

Buuuuut, that said, yes there have been times when I was younger, especially as a kid where I didn't know how to stand up for myself and people did get away with treating me like dirt. I think it is hard for mutable-heavy people to learn how to stand up for themselves.

One way I handle it is cutting people out of my life if they treat me badly. Zero tolerance (Aqua mars in the 6th--I have rules for life, baby, and this is one of them). I am a very compassionate, generous person but people who take advantage of me will be nixed out of my life. FOR GOOD. It's not really about holding grudges like Orange was saying. I'm so very Gemini so I see grudges as a waste of energy. If you're s****y to me, I will tell you off. slam the door on you and forget about you. I need to move on. I've got other things to do that don't involve bullies and parasites.

When I was younger, I got pushed around a lot more. People still try with me, but as others have said, I don't have any tolerance for it now.

If it's a coworker, I have to keep my cool a bit, even if I want to punch the person in the face (which has actually been the case at my last place of employment, people were so sh**ty as coworkers).
However, that's basically like waiting for the impending explosion. It will either happen, or I'll leave before it does, and wash my hands of the situation.

I also go with the flow of leaving people who don't treat me properfly. And like someone posted previously: oh boy do they try!

I'm a bit plutonian. I look fluffy or something but they don't know what hit them later hahaha

I give them a few chances to see what kind of person they truly are. Always love to see how "surprised" they look when they finally see me angry.

I was not letting you walk over me because I was weak. I gave you chances to make it right because I know people do make mistakes. I was being really considerate. If you prove yourself to be an ass, you deserved to be treated as so. And you will be sorry you made me angry.

I'm described as flexible and multifaceted by those who know me well, but I'm not a leaf in the wind.

I'm generally easygoing and able to overlook many flaws (though I keep those in mind just to not be caught off guard). But when I'm being terribly used or treated on a regular basis or someone crosses a line, my preference is to "flow around them," which essentially means I cut them out of my life as much as I can, and preferably without them realizing it (as when they realize it they sometimes retaliate). That strikes me as expedient and easiest as I prefer not to add problems to my life (I can also cut people out of my life as we're incompatible while still wishing them well, but of course they'll still take it personally if they realize that's what I did). But if someone insists on being a problem or otherwise require a more direct approach, I'll certainly give them a fight.
