I know it is said that Marijuana has a mars energy- based off the Vedic sciences... I would guess that MDMA has a Venus energy...

What would your guesses be as to the other main drugs? Heroin, meth, PCP, LSD, etc... and why?!

I can't relate marijuana with Mars energy. I think it's more Venus+Neptune.

I actually just read that it is actually Rahu energy, I'd guess meth is Mars?

"NEPTUNE"....yes. the answer to all these drugs' energy.
it takes you somewhere to another dimension. ...its just a chemical thing in your brain which elevates you no matter what...which is what neptune does... elevates you to another dimension with drugs.

i see what you are trying to say though...
but id dunno about mars being alloted to be the energy of weed though...
maybe coke/crack cocaine/uppers as it gives you so much energy that you do something with it (mars = action)

Yeah Mars doesn't make super sense to me, but in Ayurvedic medicine it isn't uncommon for the Vaidyas to describe herbs/ foods with planetary energies based off of the physical effects in the body. Because Marijuana causes a heating in the body, is drying, and increases appetite.. I suppose those are the reasons for Mars.

In an Ayurvedic perspective, consuming Marijuana brings an immediate sense of clarity, which then dissipates into a sense of lethargy... and then on the longterm has a clouding affect on the mind that gradually goes away.

I would agree that drugs as a whole fall under the Neptune category, but you could probably get more specific as to the energies of the specific drug. I suppose Heroin could be Saturn or maybe Ketu.... It makes sense with the slowing, cold.. Or the detachment. Maybe venus too? Not sure, I'll see if I can find what it is said in Ayurvedic texts for reference.

"Smoking may be ruled by Mars but Rahu rules over cannibas"

In Ayurvedic medicine, it is said that consuming marijuna immediately has a clarifying affect on the mind. Then, shortly after the affect turns to a stimulating, ungrounded affect... The log term affect is slightly dulling on the mind, giving a longterm sense of "cloudiness". I would assume this is why they give the overall classification as "rahu", because it is tricky when a substance immediately gives a sense of clarity, but longterm causes a mental cloud.

Pot can make any music beautiful (at least it did for me), and also make even the dumbest crap funny. It can help people bond, but not in an action oriented way. It can cause extreme emotions in others, but rarely anything negative (though some get paranoid, usually with accelerated heart rates). That makes me think more moon than mars.

'Course the munchies might link pot to Taurus (and thus Venus?).

Now as for MDMA, as for me I felt such love and affection for others that I could see that as a Venus-Neptunian energy. Though interesting enough, I was lucid enough to realize it was an illusion and with an act of will I was able to refrain from doing that which I knew I'd almost certainly regret. And touch (as well as colors) were so intense! That could also be Venus (I'd associate it with Taurus anyway.)

That's all I feel like speculating on this early in the morning.

i think drugs are Neptune, too. Anything that alters your consciousness like that is neptune to me.

I have my sun moon midpoint square Neptune which probably explains my general aversion to drugs and drinking. I don't care how bad things get i don't resort to it.

Herbalist and astrologer here.

What you call 'marijuana' is Cannabis, a plant genus, therefore is a plant, not a drug. Drugs are not plants, but are made from plants. These are not semantics, but essential distinctions.

In India Cannabis is associated with Shiva, the western equivalent being Pluto.

Generally ...

Stimulants are generally Martial in nature.

Plants or drugs that have largely hypnotic effects in the human body are showing the Neptune energy.

Sedatives are showing the Saturnine energy (sometimes Neptune).

The problem come in associating an entire plant with one planetary energy. That does not work.

Cannabis sativa or C. indica male plants allowed to grow as weeds (hemp) do not have 'drug' effects. Even female Cannabis plants taken internally in their raw state cannot be associated with either Mars or Neptune, since in the raw form there is no stimulation or psychoactive 'drug' effect from the acid form of THC or any other part of the plant.

I could go on and on.

There is no 1:1 rulership of equivalency of individual planets of individual plants. What we're talking about is the energy induced/emphasized by its use.

A person engaging in constant daily smoking of Cannabis indica can create a Saturnine and/or Neptunian effect, i.e., lower energy, lethargy, adrenal suppression, even depression, since C. indica is down-regulating of energy.

The effects of smoking Cannabis sativa can be quite different since C. sativa (tropical species found at lower elevations) is up-regulating of energy, often creating a clear-headed effect.
