Does having a fire sign planet (Moon,Merc, etc.) in one of the water houses (4,8,12) douse the fiery energy of that sign a bit?

Say if someone had a moon in Aries in the 12th

Would this make a more subdued/low-key Aries moon or would it function in the same way?

It would mean the person has strong emotional reactions/flare ups but wouldn't have complete access to them or understanding of them being in the 12th.

It is an odd combo having the sun(planet that rules self to be in the hidden 12th house)

I think I read somewhere that having a 12th house sun can make someone shy. I do know some shy Aries and wonder what house their sun is in.

It doesn't "douse it" as much as it makes the fire go inward, the intensity is still there, the more you get to know the person you will see this play out. Water houses can have passionate interests.

Water is always internal and backstage...just because it's not yelling from the mountain tops doesn't mean the intensity is lost. Sometimes what's on the inside is more stronger than what is shown on the outside.

With the Water houses they become better with age, as the person gets older and understands themselves they can become more outwardly focused. For an Aries this would be more likely, as Aries always makes itself known no matter if it's in the 12th, Aries is a forceful energy that can't be tied down for long.

So basically the energy plays out as being more hidden?

I have Mars in Gemini in the 12th house and what I've found is...

Other people can read me like an open book, but I myself feel very private and hidden (probably because Mars conj. my ASC, I'm a triple Aries, but I have Moon opp. Pluto). My personality and energy is best and most expressed when I'm by myself. I get told I'm laid back more than anything and that's NOT the case. It's just that with Mars in the 12th house asserting myself other than being opinionated, is uncomfortable for me.

You know how you meet someone and they're really energetic? They have a charisma about them be it good or bad. Someone with signs in the 12th house (for example) will not have that energy. Over time they may have presence or gain it but it won't be immediate or apparent off the bat because the 12th house hides whatever is in it.

hope that helps.

This energy would be that of someone who seems very much on edge or ****** off IMO.

There might be something very touchy or prickly about them; moods may be unpredictable and suddenly change.

The issue is that most times they won't know why they respond the way they do and may tend to snap when irritated.

With Aries Ascending, this may be ven more obvious and it is likely that how they feel governs very much their approach to life.

With Taurus Asc,the person may seem like "Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde".

They seem very much placid and docile. But there could be trouble if something ****** them off or lights a spark.

There is a tendency for them to regret their actions or behave in a manner that surprises or alarms those around them etc. "But i thought that she was so sweet?" etc.

If Mars/Uranus/Pluto aspects the Moon...
