I think the longer-term transits to the 8H might be most indicative? Since it usually is a process: the person dies over time, their estate is settled over time. Also I would look at the 8H ruler for clues. With my 8H moon I've received, or my parents have received, several sizable inheritances. Two most significant deaths/inheritances to me, not my parents, with rectified birth time: 1) Tr Uranus on my 8H cusp...Uranus possibly ruling the 8H (depends on the exact minute of my birth, since the house cusp is conjunct the sign cusp.) Tr Venus conjunct my 10H Taurus SN the day he died, within 1 degree. 2) Tr Uranus in my 8H; tr NN on my 8H moon (less than half a degree orb.) IP: Logged |

I think that is a standard thing astrologers say to those of us with personal planets in the 8H. In my case Uranus was the only planet transiting my 8H when those major inheritances came through. I don't think Uranus is always an indicator-- though of course, with a surprise inheritance, it's likely to show up...as it did with your friend. Does she have Gemini on the 8H Cusp? There's a chance Neptune rules my 8H; like I said it's a very close call. In that case, with both inheritances above, they happened when my progressed sun was keeping pace with transiting Neptune. In the first instance my progressed moon was in its native Pisces, in my natal 8H. IP: Logged |

The 8H is the house of inheritances and other people's money. I meant, her 8H CUSP is in Gemini? So Mercury rules the 8H? If so, Mercury probably aspected her chart significantly when the person died, and/or there were key transits to her Mercury. IP: Logged |
