I love being in love, but not to the point of being addicted. Oh, I like to "think" I'm addicted, but in reality I love too many other things aside from love to be "addicted".Venus in the 12th house on asc. I like the "magic", the sweetness, all of that good stuff. I like seeing people in love, being surrounded by love. Birds in spring, couples holding hands make me squeal internally. No, not a serial monogamist. It has always been easy to notice a certain kind of "connection" with a lot of people, but most of the time it's very vague. Fleeting moments, slight twinges in my chest, brief encounters, etc... Not enough ground for s.t more solid. Sometimes I think I just like people. And 7th house jupiter in aspect with moon (7th house ruler). Jupiter's gift come in the form of intimate relationship (and to some extent, friendship and business partnership). It's good, happy and enjoyable, despite the occasional difficulties. I think that's why I enjoy love/relationship. If the whole thing were something I had to "survive", or s.t that bled me dry, I doubt I'd want to go near it lol. IP: Logged |

I love love. Always have loved it. I love the feeling of love and being in love, but I am not addicted to it and neither do I have to always have someone. I need to always be with the right person for me otherwise I don't mind being alone at all. Pisces Venus IP: Logged |

Venus square or opposite Neptune is the biggest contributor that I can think of. IP: Logged |

Powerful Venus. Serial monogamy is the most widely practiced lovestyle in cultures around the whole world. Cf research and books by Dr. Helen Fisher.Like 12muddy: "I like the "magic", the sweetness, all of that good stuff. I like seeing people in love, being surrounded by love. Birds in spring, couples holding hands make me squeal internally." I'm a total romantic, with elevated Venus in a Cradle formation. Hearts and flowers, I love goddess Venus, and playing Cupid. quote: Originally posted by Gemini30: What in the natal indicates someone being all lovey dovey in love? Like being addicted to love? I love love, too. Pisces venus. I always love love. Idk why, I think I'm addicted to love. I can feel my Venus rules all my fire and air in love, so all of them love love and want to break free when she wants to sacrifice in love, "Noooo Venus, Noooo.. He's not even worth itttt.." Lol.IP: Logged |

I am too. But I can 'control' it, so I'd say sometimes. Libra Moon and Venus. Moon sextile Saturn.

From my observations, Venus in the first house MUST have someone. Very relationship minded. Also anyone with a heavy seventh house. My ex has a seventh house stellium including Venus, sun, and Mercury and he is the most codependent person ever. He always needs to have someone. I like being in contact with a lot of guys at a time just for fun and company, but I don't need a special someone. IP: Logged |

I have a loaded seventh and i cant really agree with this. I don't need someone, ANYone, constantly and there have been guys who expressed interest and got angry and made up lies later about doing stuff with me that never happened because they were angry that i wouldn't really reciprocate.
I kinda wish this stereotype would end that seventh house people are so desperate for companionship that we'll shack up with anybody because its not true. I like company but don't need it and if the person isn't up to my standards in one way or another id rather just be alone which is why I've been alone for so long. Same for venus square neptune being pegged this way when really it just means you come in the world with a crappy radar for sniffing out bad partners, that you have to work on and develop. Id actually pin addiction to love or an inability to be alone on venus pluto aspects - pluto is compulsion and obsession after all.

Sorry, I didn't mean to make a generalization, even though that's exactly what I did. But that's kind of what these threads are about lol. Of course there will be exceptions to the the rule, probably other factors in your chart. If you have Venus square Neptune I would attribute it to that. I've actually noticed these people tend to steer clear of relationships or be very hard to pin down. I have Venus/Pluto opposition and I'm not "addicted to love" or a serial monogamist, but I do get obsessed when I actually like someone. And I kind of need to be talking to someone at all times even if I'm not interested in a relationship. IP: Logged |
