Can someone explain the significance of this? I was told it's a huge deal and I'm scratching my head. I'm 1 degree away. Oh yeah, it's a transit, not a natal.

ooo i have this placement...

its a good one to have apparently..
working in this life to attain your life path's choice in a public way.

but also may mean delayed careers...
i know for a fact this is what has happened to me...
when i was 18/19 i was on my way to become more independent with my creative career but stalled and took to taking care of life and knowing i can always come back to it...
now i kind of regret this for years have gone by and now im starting from zero...
and realizing i have much work to do...
i realized as well i am better equipped at knowing which moves to make to advance myself.

Oh, I don't do transits much but maybe restrictions in your home now, like a coldness or something happening that is really hard and will force maturity.

I have this in my progressed.

I'm not an expert on transits but I'd say a feeling of being stuck in your career AND/OR feeling like you have to work really hard just to maintain or reach even small goals. You may feel that there's new restrictions being placed on you.
While it seems like very difficult and stressful work, it does bring rewards but it can sometimes be difficult in matching up the reward with the effort needed.
That's how I've been feeling with the pressed Saturn on MC.

Is your MC in Sag? this means your beliefs, ideas, the things that you preach are tested and evaluated.

You are a capricorn with mars in cap, this should sound familiar

the natal description (outside of childhood) should apply during the transit. You will be aware of authority figure, be aware that your every move is watched

Take what I said and put it towards career, Ian. Also, there may be social things that are hard.

Regarding tSaturn conj. nMC, this can signal a harvest time in terms of career. If the native is a dutiful and hard-working person who has their affairs in order and is not prone to gambling or cheating or other questionable/unethical/irresponsible activities which require luck to succeed, and ideally has a well-placed Saturn natally or a strong Cappy/Aqua or 10th House influence, I would expect to see good career results during this transit, such as the native getting more recognition, added responsibilities and the like. It could mean being assigned more work though...Saturn transits are never really "fun".

In other cases, the exact same transit could show the start of a ca. 2.5 year period of difficulty finding work, a dip in one's public standing due to one's less than sterling activities being exposed, or, difficulty embarking on the career one feels is one's calling... or other problems related to the 10th House, even the loss of a parent figure is a possibility. No matter what happens, the end result would usually be a maturing of the native with regard to 10th House matters.

By taking all the native's life circumstances into account it's possible to make an estimation how it could play out, but it's never entirely certain and several of these things can happen simultaneously as well.

Thank you. I was told about the same exact thing by someone else.

My first Saturn pass at 29 years old was actually an excellent time in my life.

I'm heavily Capricorn and my sun is actually in the 10th in Capricorn. My MC is Sag.

I was told to expect a phenomenally good period ahead and I was skeptical.

This isn't accurate in my experience (I have this transit going on right now).

I'm experiencing it as people trying to restrict/thwart and/or stop me in my educational and professional aspirations, usually by abusing their authority (Saturn).

It works out where, if I usually exercise enough self-restraint (Saturn), the situation resolves itself, usually in some kind of negative karmic repercussions for the parties responsible (Saturn is karma).

YTA,

you should feel the transit by now, 1 degree away has already started the transit influence.
What ( changes) have you noticed so far about your career, father, social standing?

I am going to have this transit soon and I am not looking forward to it. Will be reading this thread for some pointers...

sorry I cant offer an advice but observe you like a guinea pig during this time

Well, my first round was when I was 29 plus years old. It was when my career first took off. I'm a banker, and in my world, it was my first foray into the world of a principal. My first real solid paycheck came in, far different from what I was earning in the mid-20s as an entry level (meaning as a new MBA).

My father is gone, but he was also a banker. We didn't get along mentally but his accomplishments and traditions drive me.

My career is at a juncture where I am like at the door of the inner room of a candy store. My analogy is that I'm already in a candy store full of M&Ms and Mars and Kit Kats, and some Godiva. The inner room has all the higher designer chocolate and I have not had access to that yet, if I'm getting inside at all. From my perspective looking in, it's a little far fetched and a little unrealistic, but yet I'm so close.

That's how it is.

I wonder how long Saturn is going to stay in the 10th house, given that it hasn't entered yet.

My MC in Saggi, ruled by Jupiter in 2nd in Aries. Ruler of Aries seems to be Mars, which I have in 11th in Capricorn. My Sun is in 10th in Capricorn, which is ruled by Saturn, and mine sits in 12th in Aquarius.

I was born smack at less than one degree North latitude from the Equator. Therefore, I take it that the 10th House would be about 30 degrees.

I'm going to post my chart in Personal Readings for your benefit.

Vajra

and YTA,

thank you so much for sharing the experience you had ( and currently have) with the transit of Saturn on MC.

I cn only hope i can gain something rather than suffer under this transit, as well. My 10th house is empty and the MC is in Saggy, with Jupiter sitting happily in my 8th house. My MC has no harsh aspects by other stuff in my chart, so TR Saturn is not going to bring over other planets with it.
I hope all will be manageable. I'll share when the time comes.

Thank you!

I am currently going through this transit, and it's not pretty. I'm a Sag, and my MC is in Sag as well, Saturn is just transiting through it, while entering my 10th house.

My father left my mother and me while i was still a baby, because he couldn't take care and responsibility, it's only in the recent years that he started appearing on and off in my life. I've had to become more closer with him during the past 2 years but it has not been a good daughter-father bond.
He has a long history of alcohol abuse, is unstable and very irritable, unless he takes drugs to calm his aggressive and nervous self. He has frequently been tormenting me verbally the past year, has always tried to earn money off me and everyone else, through deceit. The more time we started spending together the more he tried to control me in a very assertive way, abusing my personality, instead of being a supportive and loving father. Yesterday he really crossed the line insulting me with ugly words and trying to hurt my confidence by saying i'm **** at doing the stuff i enjoy. I'm a very sensitive person and he has been causing me great stress so i think i'll be cutting him off my life for good, he simply doesn't respect me or have my best interests at heart. So for me, Saturn conjuncting MC must definitely be related to me losing my father.

I'm currently going through this transit.

I'm job hunting at the moment. So far, I've encountered some issues with my resume and minor issues with my references. I am hoping, though, that all of my "hard work" is rewarded with a job offer after fixing/resolving all of these issues.

Oddly enough, I didn't feel like looking for a job would be beneficial until all of these mutable squares/oppositions/conjunctions hit at the same time. I guess they gave me the push I needed to get working.

Mine too.

Saturn Conjunction Medium Coeli Orb 0° 10'

GrupoVenus says this for myself:

"Your ambitions or career reach a climax or critical point at this time. This time period is an important culmination of a great deal of effort. The effect of this culmination can be either wonderful or disastrous, depending on the quality of your work and the astuteness of your career decisions. For most people, a major advancement in career is made at this time, with increased stature and responsibilities, but considerable stress, power struggles, and difficulty attend this change. It is possible that the stress and difficulty become so great that the success is very short-lived and you quickly topple down to an even lower position than where you started.

If you are employed by a large company, you are likely to receive a promotion to a position of much greater authority and stature. If you are involved in an artistic, athletic, or service area, you may receive special recognition at this time. However, you may also face the negative consequences of increased responsibilities and pressure, such as resistance and nastiness from others who resent your promotion, or exposure of inadequacies in your character or personality. The advancement you make now is the culmination of the effort and dedication you have put into your work. At this time you receive recognition and advancement in response to your years of service and dedication. However, note that if you have been cheating your customers or clients, taking shortcuts to success, exaggerating your products or talents, or investing time, energy, and resources on fantastic, impractical dreams, then a collapse of your entire effort may occur now.

Note that the precise timing of this astrological influence is very dependent on the exact birth time, so the dates given are accurate only if your birth time is very accurate."
