Certain planetary placements can be indicators of people in your life.

For example, it has been said that Saturn conjunct Midheaven often shows an absent father (emotionally or physically), or Neptune in the 3rd house shows a sibling with addiction issues...

Your thought on this?
Have you seen this in your own chart?
Do you know any other placement indicators?

Hi Appleberry-

I have Mars Square Saturn- father wound- yes absent. Mars in the 12th and Saturn in the 2nd but its a wide square at 9 degrees tbh his absences hasn't caused much of an impact on me though I've seen people with tighter orbs and man are they hell bent on daddy issues.

I have Neptune in the 3rd- Yes my sister is addicted to serial dating (emotionally cold) and is a pathological liar its insane! And shes is REALLY good at it no one ever finds out, EVER and they always believe no matter how out there the lie is...

Saturn is natural to the MC/10th, so it does not indicate 'absence' of anyone if placed there.

I have Neptune in the 3rd and my only sibling does not have addiction issues. Neptune represents many things, but should not automatically be associated with 'addiction' because of its association with drugs. Drug users most often are not addicts anyway. We slap that term onto others' behaviors we tend to jump too quickly to judge/categorize.

These are loose associations that do not hold true most of the time.

Yes, what you've asked about is generally true. Sun-Saturn together can indicate a serious or controlling parent/father. I have Sun conjunct/parallel Saturn and my father has Saturn conjunct Asc and is serious, conservative, and quiet. Most of this is associated with parents, somewhat with partners.

Don't make too big a deal of it. Your birth chart is yours, and is about you, your challenges, your development. Own it.

I have a 6H Capricorn sun in mutual reception with 12H Leo Saturn.

I've always had Leos in my innermost circle from day one. My mother was a Leo, then my closest friends, then my boyfriends, now my husband, nephews, other friends.

This is the only sun sign that has been with me non-stop, all my life.

Sun in hard aspect to Neptune is - absent father.
