I'm curious about the connection between being moon dominant and mom.

I have 8 aspects to my moon and it is also in my first house.

I believe the way your relationship with your mother and your own mothering qualities have much to do with the aspects in your moon dominated self. Aspects are the key to your personality, combined with everything else in your chart they portray your true self. My three dominants are Mercury, Moon and Uranus dominant (in that order). I have some truly difficult moon aspects and that shows with my mother. We have a truly difficult relationship and without getting into too much detail, it is unhealthy to say the least. However I have some truly incredible moon aspects which make me a genuine nurturer, and a deep feeler.

So my question for you is how many of your 8 aspects are difficult (opposition, square, conjunction) and how many are easy (trine, sextile). Then what are the aspects and how tight are the orbs?

My ex bf has Moon/Mars/Pluto conjunct in Scorpio in the 10th house. He has a very close relationship with his mother. Too close I think... Like talk on the phone everyday close. Of course that stopped when we met, and his mother got jealous and sad about that.

She was there for him more than his father was. She is a good mother too but like I said. How close is too close.

My moon has the following:

Moon Conjunct Ascendant
Sun Square Moon
Moon Square Pluto
Moon Trine Midheaven
Moon Trine Uranus
Moon Sextile Saturn
Moon Sextile Jupiter
Moon Sextile Venus

Moon square Pluto is the worst. Moon is 29 Cancer, Pluto is 22 Libra.
