I keep reading about how Pisces are moody. What exactly does this mean? Mood swings? Irrational behavior? Happy one minute and sad the next?I have a Pisces stellium - sun, moon, and mercury. I don't think I'm happy one minute and sad the next. I have a pretty even temperament and barely anything makes me upset. However, sometimes I'm bubbly and outgoing and then I'll be more inclined to introversion a few hours later. Is this a "Pisces mood" thing? If any other Pisces that would like to chime in, I'd appreciate it! IP: Logged |

I have a stellium there, but I've always assumed moodiness was more connected to cancer. Of course, I do have my days lol but for the most part I'm pretty mellow.Introversion is definitely a pisces thing though IP: Logged |

My best friend has a Pisces sun conjunct Mercury. People have teased her for blowing hot and cold, sweet one minute and angry the next....but I think that's more her moon conjunct Mars in Aquarius. She's not moody to me, because I understand all her moods (my moon conjunct her sun, widely.) It all looks smooth and rational to me. Of course she will be friendly when she can, that's the Pisces way, but she's also transparent about her frustration when she's frustrated. She's really honest and would consider it rude to NOT tell you when you are p*ssing her off. She doesn't harbor secrets against anyone, they always know where they stand. Oh and she forgives immediately, so if you just stop whatever was bugging her, you're cool again. Maybe that's moody ~ I think she just rolls with the punches. I guess I am similar.... IP: Logged |

That would come off as moody to me. Though I'm not saying that there's anything wrong and I can understand it. Understanding doesn't mean that I'll respond appropriately. That's one of my bigger issues in a nutshell but that's another topic completely. I think Pisces can be moody. It's just that it's likely to be for different reasons than why most others feel moody. One of my best friends is dating a guy with a Pisces moon. One day one of our mutual friends commented to me about how weird it was that Pisces moon guy was super quiet and withdrawn that day. He is usually verbose and outgoing. She was legitimately concerned and thought the guy was weird because of it. To me, it just looked like he was tired and wanted some quiet time. My best friend said he can get in quiet moods from time to time. I didn't find anything wrong with it, but then again I resonated with him because of my Pisces stellium :-p IP: Logged |

edit - got off topicI think quietness shouldn't count as "moody" unless the person is giving off a weird vibe. Most of the time I find Pisces quietness soothing and understandable. IP: Logged |

^^^ I think it's even but I will say that I think suns are slightly better at pretending that all is well. It drives me bonkers and I don't handle it well. "SPEAK TO ME!!! NOW!" Though I'll do the same so that makes me a bit of a hypocrite.

My ex was a Sag sun and Aries Moon. My mom is a Gemini sun and Sag moon. They hate it when I'm quiet. They can't stand quietness at all! They're like "talk to meeeee" when I'm in a Pisces tranquility zone- I don't want to talk and be outgoing right now, I'm recharging my batteries! I think they think it's weird that I can go from super bubbly and talkative one day to mellow and super listener the next. IP: Logged |

Yeah I was going to say...12H Mercury probably goes "offline" sometimes, too. I think Pisces suns have a more solid ego, they are better with boundaries. So it's not that they pretend to be well..they ARE well. Whereas the moons.... Sheesh where is Odette... She'll tell you about those crazy Pisces moons... IP: Logged |

LOL I'm similar I think. Well we both have the Leo ASC and Pisces moon. I remember talking to a lady who works at my dentist office, she was saying I could do something in public relations because I'm so good with people. I told her that conversations exhaust me, and that job would kill me. "You're so upbeat though!" I told her that I go home from these upbeat conversations and want to hibernate for three days. Actually all this talking HERE is wearing me thin, delightful as you people are, I'm getting tired of hearing myself talk. Bye IP: Logged |

This exactly--about the recharging. My Leo mom used to get so upset because I'd want to leave a family party after 4-5 hrs. I'm like, this is all I can handle! I need quiet time now. It's not that I don't enjoy being social--I do! It just drains my energy. My Pisces aunt takes this to another level. I'll see her everyday for weeks and then won't hear from her for months. It's super weird, but I kind of get it. Her bursts of social time are simply different, but still very much showing the Pisces withdrawal tendencies. My theory: Because Pisces is such an empathetic sign, we take on the energy of those around us. Literally I will catch myself mimicking whomever I'm around, talking like them and getting on their level. It wears you out after a while lol Is Pisces energy itself inherently moody though? I don't know...I've always assumed moodiness stemmed from other factors in the birth chart? I have noticed when my Mars in Sag is triggered, I get really irritated. IP: Logged |

Yes, I absorb so much of people's energies. That's why I can only deal with hyperactive Geminis for only so long lol. I do get worn out around super extroverted people. How do they do it? I've realized I am very intuitive about people and I'm now able to realize when people have good or bad energy. I used to ignore the intuition but now I'm able to sort through the bad ones. This has saved me a lot of energy. I used to get so drained and uncomfortable around those with weird vibes/energy. IP: Logged |

Ohhh my goodness lol Geminis are the BEST aren't they? Two of my closest friends are geminis and I tell them both I can only handle them in small doses. They are delightful and entertaining, but I could never live with one! quote:

I've struggled with this too. It's hard, especially when someone wants you to feel sorry for them. Its like they can sense Pisces will be the one to care. I'm glad you have figured it out and can trust your intuition. I'm still working on it...there are people I should've kicked out of my life so long ago, but with apologies and tears, I fall right back into believing they're going to change their lives around. I'm a sucker for the redeemed villain in movies and real life :/ IP: Logged |

Most people call you moody when you don't want to hear, see or deal with their crap anymore and need a reprieve. Moody gets a bad rap because people think moody people are no fun and being selfish. But moody goes beyond mood swings. It's about overload and stopping the "pick-up". I personally get tired of picking up vibes, energy, undercurrents etc. I get moody because it seeps into my own body and I get a strong urge to close shop. I can take so much of people's energy that I have to depart. When I was younger I didn't understand why I felt worse after going to a event than before I went. Sometimes it would take me a week to recover. But now I understand it.Gemini moods come from mental fatigue Cancer moods come from emotional upheaval and drama. Pisces moods come from too much stimuli from outside forces, like the fish it feels everything in the environment, and like the fish they can't really escape it because water is all around them. Fish have no legs so where are they going to go, they just have to suffer in the ocean around all the toxins...until their own environment kills them, and they go belly up. Pisces people can go belly up too...moodiness is a mechanism to tell them to move it along, like protection, it gives them equilibrium. IP: Logged |

So basically what everyone is saying is that the Pisces moodiness is based off of needing time to recharge. If there's a situation that drains our energy we need to take a step back and step into our own private world to recover. I guess this can be seen as moody to other people... But to me it makes perfect sense lol. IP: Logged |

My ex was a 2nd decan Pisces and had a Pisces stellium. He wasn't moody but elusive and deceiving. I think when people say moody we actually mean we can't predict Pisces. For example, one minute my ex told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, that he wanted to marry me but later he had a feeling that I wasn't the one and cried. It's all that Neptune in ya'll, some people just can't deal with idealization/devaluation and the rose colored glasses/all things failing. My mom is a 3rd Pisces decan sun and has a Pisces stellium too. She's more self-sacrificing type of Pisces though. Even though she struggle with her mental illness and delusions, when she's there she would do anything for the people she loves. As a Capricorn stellium/dominant, I'm iffy about Pisces. I've had really bad experiences with ya'll, but at the same time I've had amazing life changing experiences with you guys too. However I think Cap's earth and Pisces's water sometimes leads to mud instead of the intended balance. ------------------ Cap Sun Leo Moon Aqua Merc Aqua Venus Cap Mars Leo MC Libra Rising ~~~Blessed Be~~~~ IP: Logged |
