I think the absolute worst aspect in the chart is Dejanira conj the Moon.

To me, what you are saying must be more than this aspect

I have Saturn square Sun, Mars, ASC but trine my Moon and Venus.

& yes, I do believe it makes my life and living hell a lot of the time. I'm currently going through transit saturn conjunct my mars/ north node in my 7th house which is ruled by Scorpio (chart ruler). I recently bombed two semesters in my last year in college so now I'm graduating late & I was an excellent "A" student nearly my entire life! I'n depressed.. quit my job.. I smoke nonstop. I'm starting to regain my enthusiasm towards life and my happiness but that transit saturn conjunct my mars has been a real downer this past year. I feel hopeless, lost, and just plain lazy. Better days are coming.

Just bc saturn wants you to work hard for what you want dosent mean he will destroy you.

And I thought Nicki had the conjunction...

But a lot of successful people have afflicted saturns.
Like Oprah she has sun and venus square saturn,
Melinda gates (Bill gates wife) has loads of hard aspects from saturn, Serena williams a sun-saturn hard aspect
and there are more successful people i have seen with an afflicted saturn in their charts. Saturn can give you determination to succeed in whatever field you choose and almost always when i have checked the charts of very successful people saturn is involved and tbh i think they wouldn't have made it without saturn.

Actually, Saturn square Mars made that I have no streght to fight.
And about her, she has Saturn square Mars and ASC. No wonder that she loathes her real look so much that she do *that* to herself.

Just be patient better days will come. Saturn isn`t all doom and gloom he just wants hard work before he rewards But i agree with Ami, i think its something more than this aspect in your chart that makes you feel this way.

Sorry you feel that way. I have the semisquare and sometimes feel held back or tied down.

Bruce Lee had Mars opposing Saturn.

Also, from cafeastrology:

quote:
Some Famous People with the Mars in Hard Aspect to Saturn: Squares - Susan Sarandon, Claudia Schiffer, River Phoenix, Phil Hartman, Julius Caesar; Oppositions - Sheena Easton, Farrah Fawcett, Brooke Shields, Darryl Hannah, George Clooney, Todd Bridges, Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Full reading:

quote:
You are a perfectionist. You can pick at yourself and others unmercifully, trying to get circumstances in your life to match some unspecified standard. Your energy becomes freer to work in an unencumbered way when you recognize that you aren't really looking to match an objective standard at all. What you want is to find some emotionally and psychologically defendable ground to stand on. The real trick in life for you is to keep moving. This is not easy since you should really only move ahead on a project after forethought or planning; your judgments tend to be colored by your fears or your momentary desires. You work very hard for what comes to you. This is unavoidable. But, you could end up working very hard for no gain. This is avoidable through balancing your drives with your responsibilities. You find that you have better health and much freer energy if you get vigorous physical exercise at least three times a week.

So true for me, about the exercise.

no it's not, but it can potentially mean a late bloomer... someone who works hard most of their lives, but success will come later

or it could mean someone who work hard, but still suffer from some career-setbacks... probably not their own fault

But even with this aspect, the person would still be way more successful than the potentially average person - just because they work so hard, is ambitious and have high standards

I have Saturn and Jupiter both square mars
I'm a kickboxer and I noticed the kickboxing instructors I know have saturn square mars, but more so Jupiter square mars.
I used to hate it before I got into sports but now I use that repressed anger lol
And as someone pointed out, Bruce Lee has mars opposite saturn

But yes, mars square saturn for me does mean that I'm probably going to spend a large portion of my life working hard and facing a lot of setbacks but I take it as a challenge

Unless I work literally all day non-stop, and into the night, I don't feel like I have worked.

Essentially any work that I do, does not feel like it was work, so I feel guilty about not working, even if I did. That saps me of motivation to work, since I know it won't satisfy unless it's extreme.

This is why when I want to clean the living room, washing the windows, wiping down the woodwork, vacuuming & dusting...I ALSO want to re-arrange the furniture, haul some furniture into another room, move the bookcase so I can unload stacks of books and re-load them. My mind turns everything into a marathon project; I only get satisfaction from those.

And it's like I assume things are harder than they are, and make them hard to conform with my expectations.

I had to learn to trick myself into accomplishing small mundane chores by not even thinking about them. I'm no good at planning or holding to a schedule, I have to do things spontaneously and on autopilot.

^ But that could be my Saturn square Uranus. Another doozey.

Yes.

As I was saying above, I make things out to be harder than they are, so I have occasionally succeeded tremendously by overdoing things.

Think of tough Saturn aspects as a really, rough, make-you-barf workout. Yes, sucks. But, no pain no gain.

Saturn wants to see what you're made of. If it is making a particularly harsh aspect to a planet in your chart, there is a reason - up to you to figure out what that is. But, no, it is not some bomb following you around about to go off - when found in your natal OR in your synastry or composite with someone. It's just challenging you to be toughest you can be in that particular area of your chart/being.

In general, I find Saturn to be the MOST misunderstood planet in astrology. I've grown to embrace and love him for all of his strict, terrible, realistic hardness in my life. I've seen everything Saturn has hard-aspected in my life grow to become strong as steel. So, I'll always be grateful for it.

It's sexy as hell when people use the absolute worst people to represent everybody with a particular aspect.

No, I was joking; actually it's repulsive.

Mars square Saturn = crisis of self-control. It challenges one to direct potentially substantial frustrations of impulse or ambitions into healthy, sequenced, patient constructive outcomes, rather than into layers of anger or resentment or self-loathing.

It is entirely irrelevant whether it is the 'worst' aspect in astrology. If it is in your birth chart then it is yours to live with. Labeling things 'best' or 'worst' does nothing to meet the challenge. Understanding the nature of the aspect and the challenges does.
