If anyone has any questions about either Sun, Mercury, Venus or Mars in Sagittarius... I'm becoming quite the expert - so ask away

It's strange but I've learned more about Sagittarius in the last few weeks, than I have my whole life. It's been very eye-opening.

I'm having my Saturn return... at 9 deg in Sag.. and during the same timeframe, I met two people - one with Venus exactly on my Saturn. The other with Mars and Mercury conj, exactly on my Saturn... Both Sag suns.
It's kind of clarified a lot of things for me... that I didn't understand previously about this sign and their behaviour.

Yeah Sag venus in the 8th house. If adding the houses doesn't complicate it that is.

I'm curious about sag mercury. I have sag sun, mars, merc and am a philosophy student but the struggle has been to bring that intuitive stuff down to earth in a practical academic way. It's all square jupiter in virgo.

I'm basically ok! Thanks for caring. Maybe it's just too much Sagittarius for me haha

curiouspisces89 -

quote:
Oh please tell me more about Sagittarius Venus!

Ok.. Well Sagittarius Venus was/is very open and direct with me. He is really talkative and emotionally expressive. The best thing about him is that he is genuinely friendly - as opposed to overly sexual or romantic... This is something I like.. but I guess there are people who might be put off by it.
He's a huge animal lover, and very compassionate and empathetic. The one thing that I find incompatible with Pisces energy (I have Merc and Jupiter in Pisces + Neptune aspects) - is that he asks a lot of direct questions - and wants direct/honest answers. Pisces is more private or secretive.. which he tends to interpret as me maybe having "trust issues"...
Do you have more specific questions?

mamawolf - Is there something more specific you'd like to ask?
I mean I can talk "in general" - but I think having questions would help me clarify my thoughts!

polkadotstars - Ok! I can confirm that Sags absolutely LOVE animals lol.. These two both do, for sure. The one with Venus in Sag has gone the extra step in even working at a zoo for a while. He loves all animals and he is very at ease with wild animals as well.
You asked why.... hmm.. Well my impression is that Sagittarius energy sees us all as being -the same- in a sense, because we are all animals. But.. from the Sagittarian POV, non-human animals seem like a "more genuine" version of us humans. Animals are very honest and open. Sagittarius is often in touch with their instinctual/animalistic side.. so they appreciate the *realness* in that.

Astrowolf - Is your Mercury conjunct Mars in Sag? Your chart sounds similar to the second Sag I mentioned. He also has a Virgo Jupiter!

Yes, this! (ETA: disclaimer, I am not a Sag sun, but I have a Sag stellium and feel the influence and ability to relate to many Sag suns.)

And they seem to love us. I was lucky not to get clawed by a rooster that I accidentally grabbed (it's possible that my being female got me a little extra slack from the rooster's instincts). During a storm I raced to get some barn kittens (half-grown) into the barn and even saved some ducklings (who I found, much to my surprise, could claw me!) despite the minor injuries (clawed and such). Next time after, one of the barn cats walked straight up to me and climbed my leg like a tree and I yowled to communicate that it hurt, and it worked. The barn cats only accepted me.

As a little girl I cried when I saw calves being branded, and it shocked (and even scared) me when my uncle said it didn't hurt them when it obviously did. This was seen as very unusual and had to be crushed in me.

One of the strangest (and sad) experiences I had as an adult was a wild tomcat hung around. There was a cat lady nearby but she kept trying to catch and neuter him, but he'd have none of it, even chased her once which I found funny. I called him Bad Bones once because he made me think of that song Bad to the Bone. I'd leave out treats for him (though my charity was more fickle than that of the cat lady) and he pretty much hung out across the street from where I lived (and fighting off coons and dogs that came near, and braving kids who could be cruel).

One day I came home to find the cat at my door (for the first time) and when I opened it he walked right in as if he belonged, though I could see something was wrong. I researched the symptoms online and determined that he had antifreeze poisoning, and as it was the afternoon before Thanksgiving, I called every vet I could find in the phone book who made me more cynical as every single one (at least the one at the desk) played stupid so they could get off for Thanksgiving. I even took to offering DOUBLE payment (and remember, he's not my cat!) and they still wouldn't do it. So I made him comfortable and he died at about 2 AM Thanksgiving morning (when the fleas started crawling over him in plain view), and I actually cried for him, and then arranged with the cat lady to have a FUNERAL (burying him with cloth and prayers said) for him. And then I created some fliers about using the safer kinds of antifreeze and passed them around the neighborhood. Again, he was not my cat, but I was fond of him, and he apparently trusted and/or felt more kinship with me than he did the cat lady.

Though that all said, my Sag stellium (which has a warped sense of humor similar to my Sag dad and other Sag suns I could name) was first tempted to answer the question on why Sags like animals with, "So we have someone to blame for our screwups. If someone asks who left the fridge open, we say 'the cat' and if it works, great, and if not, then the look they give us is hilarious!"

Thank you so much! Basically the guy I am interested in has Sagittarius Venus in the 7th house. He is Taurus ascendant. Do you know anything about this placement?

Also my Venus is in Pisces but I'm the 9th house so it has some undertones to Sagittarius so I think we would get on well.

Btw you are totally right haha! He asks very direct questions and some private that I wouldn't expect someone to ask lol. He is very curious. I do get shocked by it haha but I don't mind it. I quite like it.

Wow, thanks Odette...!

Could you enlighten me about Mars in Sag, please? With a *clears throat* Scorp sun.

How do they combine? Intensity in short bursts, is the best way I can sum up what I've seen. Does it even out over time or is it always this unpredictable? Edit coz it sounded a bit off from what I meant.

He acts like Mr Carefree. Is he, really?

P.S. He's got a great sense of humour.

Something like that has been happening to me as well. Up until a year ago I hadn't had a meaningful relationship with a single Sagittarius Sun, and thair absence f was quite noticeable. But then, all of a sudden, they started pouring into my life. It's really strange.

Hmm ok. In your opinion what do you think is the best/healthiest way for this placement to be manifested?

We must be the same age! Mines at 9 degrees Saturn too! (Conjunct Mars)

I'd kind of like to know how to get a Sag to want to be emotionally closer on you / lean on you?

I am no expert here, but from personal experience I'd say don't try to make them feel owned. They aren't fans of frequent text check - ins, showing up uninvited, etc. Basically nothing at all that comes across as possessive.

How would you interpret someone who has Merc in Sag that is tightly conjunct Uranus and MC?

How about a sun conj saturn in Sag? He's a sweet guy but tends to be overly attached to things my Sag moon treats lightly. We are a Sun conj Moon (exact) pair.

Fair enough, but does anyone actually like that? I wouldn't do that normally anyway but even so I think I'm just not suited for them. I'm a loner when I feel like it but secretly love lots of attention, and Sags need someone who is genuinely in their own world all the time. *whines* BUT I WANT IT.
