Lol, that's why I never gave Pluto much attention. My question would be - does it add or change something?

look at everything together, the chart as a WHOLE. THERE are websites that will tell you a little about each planet in sign, but yes pluto in scorpio is millions of people. It is harder to see when you are one of them ------------------ LeekingChee IP: Logged |

It doesn't have an influence on individual personality like the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and rising signs, but it DOES have an influence on generational personality (it really comes out when people from a certain Pluto generation are socializing with each other). A lot of us are about finding out the secrets that are hidden from us (my Moon is conjunct Pluto so it's intensified for me)... Pluto in Libra are nearly all relationship oriented, Pluto in Virgo are nearly all service oriented, Pluto in Leo are nearly all self expressive, etc. Just because it's in a sign 10+ years does not mean that it doesn't have an effect.IP: Logged |

The Pluto in Scorp generation are the ones who will undergo the feeling of having hit rock bottom at an early age (different pluto gens experience it at diffrnt stages of life). All that can go wrong will go wrong. But this transformation, while painful, rings in profound changes and is the doorway to growing spiritually. We may not realize it at the time, but we are better for having gone through it all. This quote pretty much sums up the Pluto in Scorpio generation --> “There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own Soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” - Carl Jung. Pluto in Sag: This generation brings with it the happier note of being philosophical. I suppose they also exhibit other Sag qualities such as adventurousness, rebelliousness, and greater freedom of expression. Right now, Pluto the destroyer is in Capricorn, the sign of authority and structure. Last time we had Pluto in Capricorn, we had the American revolution. Maybe not a revolution, but our times might indeed be on the brink of some kind of upheaval in the areas of politics, religion or authority of any sort. Will some major change in these areas really happen? Who knows.. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. IP: Logged |

For a personalized view on your Pluto, check descriptions of Pluto in the Houses. You shouldn't "not look at Pluto," because it is a huge piece of your chart. Yes, it's generational when considering how it affects you and your personality, but where it's located in your chart can reveal a lot about you (depending on how and which planets it aspects) and your life (which house).Elysia gave a pretty dang good description of it

Thanks, LionFish. Yeah, Pluto's aspects to personal planets give a very distinct flavour, we need to take those into account. (Not counting its role in synastry, which also is pretty potent).

Like others have said, Pluto itself doesn't bring alot to the chart UNLESS it aspects personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter) or ASC/DSC/MC/IC. If it aspects any of these planets or points, it brings Intensity, obsession, trauma, power struggles, dark energy, loss, transformation; all the typical things associated with Pluto, and mixes Pluto energy with the energy of the planet/point that it touches. The houses involved will show specifically what areas of life the aspects will affect.Pluto in Scorpio is in its Dominant sign so the Pluto energy would come through really strong. It wouldn't be muddied up like it would if it was in Taurus (which is its detriment) or Libra (which is its fall). So the generation with Pluto in Scorpio (I'm one of them!) Will have this intense energy that comes through quite apparently in whatever areas of their chart Pluto touches. For me, Pluto aspects all but two planets in my chart so I feel Pluto's power everywhere and in every part of me! lol IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone! You've helped make it clear for me. I have Pluto in the 6th house."Those in the sixth house can be very controlling, in that you need things to be perfect. Pluto amplifies that need and makes you feel as if anything you work on should be yours and yours alone" - that's totally me IP: Logged |
