I am older now... but when I was a pre-teen, I had a creepy pool experience.

We were doing "mummy dives" off the diving board. That's when you go down straight in, stiff, toes pointed down.

It was an 8-foot pool, I think. My feet actually touched the bottom. But this time, my big toe went underneath the grate at the bottom of the pool, and 'temporarily' hooked itself. I struggled lightly, the toe released, and I began ascending.

It was like Time was going very slowly. Taking FOR EVER, it seemed. I started needing to take a breath in, and had a ways to go before breaking the surface of water into the air.

I started to see 'my life' pass before my eyes. And for a person of my young age, my blue bicycle was my life. I saw vivid scene of my bike leaning up against the side of the garage.

I wanted to breathe!!!! Then, I heard the most Beautiful feminine Voice I'd ever heard in my life. She kept telling me NOT to breathe, but to wait...

Of course, I lived. But also, became fearful of big pools after that. But I never forgot the experience of hearing that Beautiful Voice, telling me to hold on.
