i never have a pluto effect on anyone, even when it makes an aspect to other people's planets

i'm wondering if this could be because it's retrograded in my natal chart

Welcome!

Yes, Retro pushes your primal passions inward, so they may not show as a direct Pluto would.

I have it too... It's definitely not like direct. I have all my planets (and every asteroid I've ever looked up) from the 12th-3rd house Rx... I think it honestly plays a big part in why people misjudge me all the time. You have to be close to me to know me, because almost everything that is meant for the outside world is turned inward. The influence might not feel clear for others.

With Pluto Rx, I find people often assume I'm up to something negative, which will always come as a surprise to me. I think they sense the power and privacy seeking nature of Pluto and assume that it has negative intentions because they can't feel it clearly. The other thing is that apparently PlutoRx is much more intuitive than direct, so some might feel your ability to see them and feel threatened by that.

I'm not sure I got exactly what you mean by Pluto effect, but does that make any sense?

Also my Pluto is close conjunct AC, so I'm not sure how yours differs by placement. Where is it?

I think Pluto rx people are seriously misunderstood and made scapegoats over other people's personal issues.

I would also say they are hard to get to know on a deeper level.

your scapegoat comment got my attention. can you elaborate.
my experiance does match what you're saying, but i always thought it might be my sun/mer in 12th house..or my taurus sun..or the lack of plutos/scorpio aspects in my chart
