do cusps for moon signs exist? i've seen both answers, that cusps are real and that they aren't.. which is it?
I know for sun sign they say they exist, but for moon as well?
For example ,if someone has a 0-1 degree Gemini moon, will they exhibit any Taurus moon qualities, or be just as much of a Gemini moon as anyone else with no affect?

Of course they exist! My Moon is 29 Sag and I can act like a Cap Moon sometimes.

If someone considers Sun cusps then I see no reason for them to be against Moon cusps. In fact, this would make even more sense because the Moon moves faster than the Sun and is more receptive. I'd personally stick to the last 30 minutes of the sign here and would take it most seriously if the topocentric Moon is in the next sign.

If you're wondering about angles - yeah, they move even faster I'm not sure what to think about it. Besides, even if someone got their TOB from the certificate, it could be off by some minutes and even if not, seconds could make a difference too and I don't think anyone is that precise.

Dancing, you have a Cap ASC though...

I'd love to say I am both and that somehow that makes me more "special". But alas, I do not buy into them.

At first I did. But then I realized that my Cap Mercury probably attributes to why I "get" the Cap POV. Add to that Saturn/Moon, Saturn Venus.

But even though I am a Sun Sag 29 Degree. I am a Sag...Sag...Sag.

I don't think that they exist in Moon signs either. Moon in Taurus is VERY different from Moon in Gemini.

The one thing that could make these two touch ground is if the Gem Moon has a Venus aspect and Taurus Moon has a Mercury aspect.

I have a book called Personology, based on the Secret Language system. http://www.thesecretlanguageofbirthdays.com/

Several of those books are free online there, but a few aren't, including Personology, which gives readings for each of the 48 sign-divisions, including the cusps, for all major planets + Pluto.

I'm willing to transcribe a bit from that, if you are curious about how to interpret a moon cusp. I think that's doable, within fair use copyright laws. And besides, the author has made most of his other books free online.

Just let me know which cusp...sign/degree.

I was looking for the book. Who is the author? I came up with a few different books.

Edit: Oh I may have found it. If I were patient enough to just scroll down. LOL But I'll let you tell me, hopefully, so that I can be sure.

Sure!

Just don't be mad because, I forgot to say, most of these readings tend towards the negative.

Moon on the Cusp of Drama & Criticism
Libra-Scorpio Cusp

Extremely discriminating when it comes to emotional matters, these individuals are suspicious of any display of sentimentality or self-dramatization. Yet they are prone to such behavior themselves, usually without being aware of it. Too often they can be at the mercy of their impetuous and danger-loving urges, which more often than not land them in hot water.

Ahhh. I'm all gooey inside after reading this Thanks for bothering. I believe I have a somewhat Scorpionic/Plutonic mind (Scorpio 3H with Pluto) but I'm not sure about my emotional nature. But then, can they be completely separated? I'm not fluffly or bubbly but Saturn is my dominant planet and it aspects the Moon. My scales can get imbalanced but I'm not sure if it happens in the Scorpio style. This double cusp thing will probably always frustrate me Double cause the topocentric Moon is in Scorpio.

What's topocentric mean?

"sensei"

His moon on the Aqua/Pisces Cusp of Sensitivity:

"Such individuals are constantly being bombarded by upsetting stimuli in their environment. They have to get a handle on their feelings and if their buttons are pushed, they simply learn to develop a whole new set of buttons which cannot be so easily reached." (excerpt)

Aye, new buttons or black belts.

Hope you have a great day! Wasn't sure if I should advertise more extensively. Your sorta-Scorpio moon seems all private and stuff.

Oh. I didn't know about his martial art activity or if you've mentioned it, I forgot. A Pisces mooner, huh? I looked up his chart to see if he had Mars-Pluto and didn't find it. I guess his cardinal Sun-Mars square and exact ASC-Mars sextile were enough to push him in that direction.

sunshinedragon:

Yes, the cusp is a real phenomenon. It is a function of the division of the signs of the tropical zodiac, not of the Sun, Moon or any other moving body. Therefore luminaries and planetary bodies can approach or be right on any sign cusp.

Cuspy Moons are always a good rectification factor. Yes, there may be some of both signs depending on exactly where the Moon falls in an exactly correctly timed birth horoscope.

In your example, which is probably a 'cuspy' condition, say Moon entirely into Gemini, in which the person feels familiar at a subconscious level with the preceding sign (Taurus), and yet urged towards inner change in line with the style of Gemini.

The Moon's apparent width ("angular diameter" in astronomy) is about 1/2 degree. That defines its relationship to any potential cusp, which means since its position is measured at its center, it can be exactly half in one sign and half into the next (about 1/4 degree in each).

That is the cusp. Otherwise we say near the cusp -- cuspy -- if the entire disc of the Moon is over into the next sign.

Edgar Cayce referred to such cuspy planets as being Uranian-like, as in a wild card, erratic, urged into change sometimes by extreme or unpredictable actions. This is part of a soul's dynamic of evolution in which memories and experiences (even subconscious ones) can be recast in a new perspective and a new feeling towards life can bring up latent inner qualities possibly neglected from lifetimes of tendencies. In any case, such cusp or cuspy situations of Sun or Moon seem to urge change and soul development more sharply than most sign-related factors.
